A First Quarter Moon on Monday in Libra sets the stage for relationships to take form or split apart as Uranus, the planet of sudden abrupt change, holds our attention this week. Uranus is standing perfectly still before it turns retrograde on Wednesday, remaining retrograde until December 1, 2009. Mercury changes signs on Friday, entering Cancer - the sign of the family and security - for a brief two weeks.
Just a couple of notes about the passing of three big Hollywood stars, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and none bigger than Michael Jackson, which was set off by first the New Moon in Cancer last Monday, June 22 at what is called the cardinal point or global axis. When the Moon traveled into Leo the stars began to lead the headlines as they passed one by one. The big three; Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune, while in the sign of the audience, Aquarius, are influencing our lives in a very large fashion. We may experience these losses and others on multiple levels. Uranus adds to the suddenness as the three stars left in a group. The Days of the Week in Moon Period Format
|
WHY ARE SOME DAYS GOOD DAYS The level of ease or difficulty of a day is determined by the Moon's activity during its entire time it is in a sign which can last approximately 2.5 days. After the Moon changes signs, the assessment of the level of ease or difficulty can change also. The first thing to consider is the Moon's final aspect to a planet before leaving a sign which begins a void of course Moon period. Whether the aspect is favorable or unfavorable will determination whether it will be a good, tough or somewhere in-between type day for your endeavors. This is not how the day feels. That is something all together different. This defines the how things will work out if you do something of importance on a given day. You want to choose a day that is rated good for most business activities. Certainly if entering into agreement with anyone, you would choose a good day. Thoughtful purchases should avoid tough days and void of course Moon periods. Certainly if you are planning a trip you would choose a good to purchase the ticket for a travel date on a good day. A determination is made is based on the widely used Ptolemy aspects (0°, 60°, 90°, 120° and 180°) but there are a few more to consider; the 30° semi-sextile and the 150° quincunx. Also, I look for a parallel or contra-parallel (alignment in declination) as the final aspect of the Moon. These aspects are powerful and support a positive outcome. Parallels attract long term benefits and contra parallels allow for temporary assistance for a one time only form of support. This is an aspect that is seen when someone comes along to help you out of a jam. You will not find the void of course Moon periods calculated for these aspects in popular astrology calendars. I find these aspects to be especially important when a slow moving outer planet is receiving the Moon's last aspect. Place your order for an astrology calendar designed by Dietrech on the products page. Remember the Holiday Special - Consultations for $99! Moon "Out of Bounds" Since the summer of 2001 the Moon has been traveling very high in the sky because its range in declination shoots beyond the 23°27' line at the Tropic of Cancer in the northern sky and beyond the 23°27' Tropic of Capricorn in the southern sky. The Sun reaches its maximum north or south declination at these two boundaries at the summer solstice and winter solstice. When the Moon travels very high into these out of bounds zones it is not only higher in the sky but we seem to have stronger emotional reactions to events during these times. Here I will include the days of the month when the Moon travels out-of-bounds in declination: These are the Out of Bounds Moon periods for the remainder of 2008: Begins = 23-Dec = 4:36 PM = ends = 1:14 PM = 28-Dec 2008. Planet declination information: Mars has been out of bounds since October 4, 2007 and will not return until midday April 25, 2008. Mars reaches its highest point in declination on January 3, 2008, at +26^58' north, through Jan 10, 2008. The Planets' "Out of Bounds" Schedule for the remainder of 2008: Moon/Sun Midpoint Sign Changes Try looking at your surrounding circumstances through the view of the Moon and Sun midpoint. This is the point where you meet others halfway or the point of collaboration. It is a marriage point of sorts- or a merging or compromise point. It may help to learn what energy promotes this agreement point between family members, other people or companies. If a planet is adversely situated by a square or an opposition to the midpoint then this indicates difficulty coming to agreements or obstacles in the path. These midpoints do not follow an obvious pattern, but there is a pattern. The point will move along in zodiacal order for a while and then pops over to the opposite side of the zodiac after the Moon and Sun oppose at a Full Moon. When the Moon/Sun midpoint travels through Fire Signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) people are more adventurous, romantic and open and direct with one another with creative ideas. This Yang or Masculine element embodies the most enthusiasm allowing people to engage in more outgoing activities. This is a dynamic element with an enchanting quality. Expect spontaneity along with the lack of reflection. This can be a to encourage other to let bygones be bygones and live life for today. When the Moon/Sun midpoint travels through water signs: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, people's interactions are more private and permeate the surrounding situation. Activities are conducted on an emotional level or emotional topics that affect the next step based on how things feel. All the water signs have secretive characteristics when dealing with others. Meetings tend to be private and operating with hidden agendas or with the person on the inside when the midpoint travels through water signs. Expect passive/aggressive behavior with Cancer. Invitations are considered an honor and are reserved for those considered to be family or trusted insiders. When the midpoint travels through Scorpio, people join for intense events such as births and deaths or to sort through estates and important financial matters. Sexual agenda becomes more important and pregnancy is more likely. Insults lead to brooding. Psychological slights are easily passed without intention but may reap havoc in relationships. This point traveling through Pisces increases sensitivity to others and compassion leads to generosity of spirit. However self pity can be an issue. Matters of concern are with the victim/victimizer. Joined spiritual endeavors are more enriching. The Moon/Sun midpoint traveling through Air Signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius). People tend to be more socially available with intellectual exchanges when this point travels through air signs. People react to one another based on what they think and less how they feel. Information and gossip flows easily with the Gemini midpoint. You are more likely to travel in pairs or make a friend while traveling with the midpoint in Gemini. Couples are more open to agreements and compromise when the midpoint is in Libra. Legal matters flow more fairly. Gatherings with friends and meeting in groups can be noted with the midpoint in Aquarius. The Moon/Sun midpoint traveling through Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) People interact for practical matters when the Moon/Sun midpoint is in Taurus and Capricorn the goals are aimed at keeping traditions, making or solving money problems and forwarding business. Service and their tasks are the goal with Virgo midpoints. Interactions are less spontaneous and are methodical in earth signs. Since June 4, 2009 the Moon/Sun Midpoint is in Virgo. A Day Rating is not intended to describe the feeling of the day or how you will experience that day but offers clues about the end results to your activities if you chose to take a specific action during that Moon sign period. A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign. There some very important exceptions: These instances are referred to as a refranation, indicating that you are to expect someone to leave before you complete your objectives or the situation totally changes due to new and unseen developments or reversals.
