The Moon will travel through each sign in approximately 2.5 days. This would be called a
Moon sign period. The Moon's aspects to the planets are important indicators of the
nature of routine events. A written detailed description of each contact made by the Moon
in a day would be too much to absorb and much could be lost in the translation. However, as the Moon travels through a sign it may aspect a various number of planets which can be interpreted to tells a story of the flow of events in any given Moon sign period. This can influence the various stages of events. The most important to note is the last aspect the Moon makes before the Moon leaves the sign. This aspect is used in the ancient study of Horary Astrology. This last aspect determines the final outcome of any event initiated on any given day. Think of the Moon as the mood maker and a barometer of attitude, response and reaction while traveling through each sign of the zodiac. As the Moon holds the history of events as they develop into their various stages it used to predict the outcome by this final aspect. This last aspect is the basis for the “Favorable Days” rating that applies to the final outcome of any activity. The actions you take for the purpose of advancing your goals and primary objectives may benefit by selecting a favorable day to plan your activities on a day that allows you to expect the most likely positive outcome. A day rating of favorable or difficult is relatively clear; if the last aspect is a harmonious aspect then the outcome is favorable. If the last aspect is disharmonious then the outcome is difficult. There are a couple of other ratings; one is neutral which indicates a “no win, no lose” rating. Another rating is called a split which indicates there is a planetary change that will occur during the Moon sign period. This influence is more complicated indicating a set of events that may shift or be dropped as a result of a planet changing in motion (turning from retrograde to direct or vice-versa), or, a planet that changes from one sign to the next (or last sign if the planet is retrograde). This can represent that the final outcome may suffer a loss or be dropped. This is called a refranation. So, on the day of a refranation there is a split at some point in the interpretation of the Moon in that sign. It is possible the change may develop from “favorable” to “difficult”, or the other way around. Remember - The “Favorable Days” rating applies only to the final outcome of the actions you take for the purpose of advancing your goals. Other days may be very good and feel good but may not have that overall assessment that gives your final product the most predictable, favorable outcome. |
