Don't miss out on the planetary aspects at the end of the Report to fill in the blanks on most days.
Many aspects, especially those involving slower-moving planets, can influence several days, especially when approaching their exact date. Many will last for days beyond if the planets are moving very slowly.
Also, be sure to check out the Lunar Gestation Cycle and Moon Charts!

  • Neptune is the planet of the month while it remains conjunct the north node of the Moon. This can be very destructive combination as the area surrounding the Moon's nodes seems to magnify the effects of any planet in its field. Such is the case when a New or Full Moon occurs nearby the Moon's nodes producing a solar or lunar eclipse. Mythological Neptune is the god of the sea and is responsible for the devastating cyclones, hurricanes and tsunamis. One of my favorite paintings comes to mind that perfectly depicts this raging sea energy titled Neptune's Horses, an illustration for "The Greek Mythological Legend", published in 1910 in London and painted by artist Walter Crane.
    Many feel that some of the events in their life are beyond their control as if being caught up in a whirlwind. Others feel their efforts fail to reach their goals. Not all is lost as some report remarkable opportunities are coming from unusual directions. The vagueness of these times is stress-provoking.
    There are at least four additional days this month that hold a great amount of Neptune's energy, beginning with this weekend's First Quarter Moon in Leo. The Sun will sit square to the nodes of the Moon while the Moon sits at the south node opposed Neptune at the north node, Sunday night at 11:47 p.m. This may cause you to take action based on illusions. On Wednesday, May 14, the Sun is exactly square to Neptune adding another day of confusion. Watch out for loss of personal property, money and love on May 20th when Venus is square Neptune. The really big day is Memorial Day, May 26th when Mercury turns retrograde twenty-seven minutes before Neptune turns retrograde. These are two major events on the same day along with an occultation of the Moon and Neptune later that night. The cost is likely to be high with a nasty Venus square Saturn also occurring on May 26th. It is not over until the next night on May 27th with the Last Quarter Moon in Neptune's sign of Pisces.

    Moon "Out of Bounds"
    Since the summer of 2001 the Moon has been traveling very high in the sky because its range in declination shoots beyond the 23°27' line at the Tropic of Cancer in the northern sky and beyond the 23°27' Tropic of Capricorn in the southern sky. The Sun reaches its maximum north or south declination at these two boundaries at the summer solstice and winter solstice. When the Moon travels very high into these out of bounds zones it is not only higher in the sky but we seem to have stronger emotional reactions to events during these times. Here I will include the days of the month when the Moon travels out-of-bounds in declination:

    These are the Out of Bounds Moon periods:

    Begins = 5-May = 9:00 PM = ends = 12:38 AM = 9-May 2008.
    Begins = 2-Jun = 7:32 AM = ends = 8:33 AM = 6-Jun 2008.
    Begins = 15-Jun = 3:26 PM = ends = 6:01 PM = 20-Jun 2008.
    Begins = 29-Jun = 4:30 PM = ends = 6:33 PM = 3-Jul 2008.
    Begins = 12-Jul = 9:00 PM = ends = 11:48 PM = 17-Jul 2008.
    Begins = 26-Jul = 11:30 PM = ends = 4:30 AM = 31-Jul 2008.
    Begins = 9-Aug = 3:51 AM = ends = 7:25 AM = 14-Aug 2008.
    Begins = 23-Aug = 4:57 AM = ends = 12:34 PM = 27-Aug 2008.

    Planet declination information:
    Mars has been out of bounds since October 4, 2007 and will not return until midday April 25, 2008.
    Mars reaches its highest point in declination on January 3, 2008, at +26^58' north, through Jan 10, 2008.

  • Moon/Sun Midpoint Sign Changes
    Try looking at your surrounding circumstances through the view of the Moon and Sun midpoint. This is the point where you meet others halfway or the point of collaboration. It is a marriage point of sorts- or a merging or compromise point. It may help to learn what energy promotes this agreement point between family members, other people or companies. If a planet is adversely situated by a square or an opposition to the midpoint then this indicates difficulty coming to agreements or obstacles in the path.

    These midpoints do not follow an obvious pattern, but there is a pattern. The point will move along in zodiacal order for a while and then pops over to the opposite side of the zodiac after the Moon and Sun oppose at a Full Moon.

    When the Moon/Sun midpoint travels through Fire Signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) people are more adventurous, romantic and open and direct with one another with creative ideas. This Yang or Masculine element embodies the most enthusiasm allowing people to engage in more outgoing activities. This is a dynamic element with an enchanting quality. Expect spontaneity along with the lack of reflection. This can be a to encourage other to let bygones be bygones and live life for today.

    When the Moon/Sun midpoint travels through water signs: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, people's interactions are more private. Activities are conducted on an emotional level or emotional topics that affect the next step based on how things feel. All the water signs have secretive characteristics when dealing with others. Meetings tend to be private and operating with hidden agendas or with the person on the inside when the midpoint travels through water signs. Expect passive/aggressive behavior with Cancer. Invitations are considered an honor and are reserved for those considered as family. When the midpoint travels through Scorpio people join to sort through estates and important financial matters. Sexual agenda becomes more important and pregnancy is more likely. Insults lead to brooding. Psychological slights are easily passed without intention but reap havoc in relationships. This point traveling through Pisces increases sensitivity to others and compassion leads to generosity of spirit. However self pity can be an issue. Joined spiritual endeavors are more enriching.

    The Moon/Sun midpoint traveling through Air Signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius). People tend to be more socially available with intellectual exchanges when this point travels through air signs. People react to one another based on what they think and less how they feel. Information and gossip flows easily with the Gemini midpoint. You are more likely to travel in pairs or make a friend while traveling with the midpoint in Gemini. Couples are more open to agreements and compromise when the midpoint is in Libra. Legal matters flow more fairly. Gatherings with friends and meeting in groups can be noted with the midpoint in Aquarius.

    The Moon/Sun midpoint traveling through Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) People interact for practical matters when the Moon/Sun midpoint is in Taurus and Capricorn the goals are aimed at keeping traditions, making or solving money problems and forwarding business. Service and their tasks are the goal with Virgo midpoints. Interactions are less spontaneous and are methodical in earth signs.

    Please read my
    article on Refranations as they are an important astrological event marker.

    New Weekly Feature
    For ease of reading the details of each day, when available or appropriate, follow the daily summary.

    A Day Rating is not intended to describe the feeling of the day or how you will experience that day but offers clues about the end results to your activities if you chose to take a specific action during that Moon sign period.

    A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign.

    There some very important exceptions:
  • When a planet changes signs, the day rating can change.
  • When a planet changes direction, the day rating can change.

  •
    These instances are referred to as a refranation, indicating that you are to expect someone to leave before you complete your objectives or the situation totally changes due to new and unseen developments or reversals.
