The big bank buying out a sinking mortgage company; Hillary passing out shovels to everyone with a plan to dig us out of our economic troubles, all sound good, but Pluto is working on his last word. That last word will take all of 2008 with some of the most stunning events yet to come. The point where it stands now at 29° Sagittarius will be revisited at the time of the November election. The issues now are powerful - if only someone could nail them down. The politicians remark that they have never seen an election like this. That is probably true and many issues we are experiencing now are beyond our comprehension for very good reason. That sense that life is moving so fast on one hand and standing perfectly still on another is not much comfort. The illusive nature is attributed to Neptune, so near the north node of the Moon and the focal point of the up-and-coming Solar Eclipse on February 6, 2008. As much as Pluto is demanding his due now, Neptune is camouflaging the pressure and providing a possible escape route from the inevitable. As with all Neptune periods, the spiritual route sheds the brightest light. It is as if there are direct lines to the universal source waiting to help, if you can see past the dark clouds. There are many magical gifts waiting. Go with the flow. With a little research these dates will reveal commonalities linking the same sign symbolism and, when studied with a natal chart, will reveal houses symbolism for one or two of the effected houses. Far more interesting is the 205-year pattern formed by Mars retrograde or direct station points at nearly identical positions and dates. All Mars retrograde stations repeat at a 205-year cycle. Currently the November 15 Mars retrograde occurred at 12° Cancer 26'. Looking back 205 years, Mars turned retrograde on November 15, 1802 at 12° Cancer 28'. Back another 205 years Mars stationed at 12° Cancer 20' on November 14, 1597, and so on, looking back at 205 year intervals. Each repeat has its accompanying direct at 23°-24° Gemini on Jan 30-31, in the years 1598, 1803, 2008. In 1802 Thomas Jefferson was the US president. Napoleon was headed to become the Emperor of France in anther two years but in 1802 he was made consul for life. What was called "a practical steamship" surpassed older models with the invention of a stern propeller. This newer steamship transported passengers and goods well into the second half of the twentieth century, until diesel replaced steam and with it our polluting ways were established. --> Transits: 2008 Good Days For three more weeks the Best Days to take action require a positive aspect to Pluto in its final degree of Sagittarius. Halfway through the year Pluto will return to Sagittarius who acts as a hungry hound at the end of that sign, requiring you feed him and his litany of demands before tending to your own needs. Pluto's appetite for control and attention is like a bottomless pit. When other planets are very late in a sign then their symbolism has the last word as the Moon forms its last aspect before leaving a sign. There are some exceptions when the Moon is in Libra and Aquarius it forms a sextile to Pluto; while in Aries and Leo the Moon forms a trine to Pluto. Of course this applies when no other planet transits the final degrees of any sign or equal in declination with the Moon. The Sun reaches its maximum north or south declination at these two boundaries at the summer solstice and winter solstice. When the Moon travels very high into these out of bounds zones it is not only higher in the sky but we seem to have stronger emotional reactions to events during these times. If a planet is adversely situated by a square or an opposition to the midpoint then this indicates difficulty coming to agreements or obstacles in the path. These midpoints do not follow an obvious pattern, but there is a pattern. The point will move along in zodiacal order for a while and then pops over to the opposite side of the zodiac after the Moon and Sun oppose at a Full Moon. When the Moon/Sun midpoint travels through Fire Signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) people are more adventurous, romantic and open and direct with one another with creative ideas. This Yang or Masculine element embodies the most enthusiasm allowing people to engage in more outgoing activities. This is a dynamic element with an enchanting quality. Expect spontaneity along with the lack of reflection. This can be a to encourage other to let bygones be bygones and live life for today. When the Moon/Sun midpoint travels through water signs: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, people's interactions are more private. Activities are conducted on an emotional level or emotional topics that affect the next step based on how things feel. All the water signs have secretive characteristics when dealing with others. Meetings tend to be private and operating with hidden agendas or with the person on the inside when the midpoint travels through water signs. Expect passive/aggressive behavior with Cancer. Invitations are considered an honor and are reserved for those considered as family. When the midpoint travels through Scorpio people join to sort through estates and important financial matters. Sexual agenda becomes more important and pregnancy is more likely. Insults lead to brooding. Psychological slights are easily passed without intention but reap havoc in relationships. This point traveling through Pisces increases sensitivity to others and compassion leads to generosity of spirit. However self pity can be an issue. Joined spiritual endeavors are more enriching. The Moon/Sun midpoint traveling through Air Signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius). People tend to be more socially available with intellectual exchanges when this point travels through air signs. People react to one another based on what they think and less how they feel. Information and gossip flows easily with the Gemini midpoint. You are more likely to travel in pairs or make a friend while traveling with the midpoint in Gemini. Couples are more open to agreements and compromise when the midpoint is in Libra. Legal matters flow more fairly. Gatherings with friends and meeting in groups can be noted with the midpoint in Aquarius. The Moon/Sun midpoint traveling through Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) People interact for practical matters when the Moon/Sun midpoint is in Taurus and Capricorn the goals are aimed at keeping traditions, making or solving money problems and forwarding business. Try looking at your surrounding circumstances through the view of the Moon and Sun midpoint. This is the point where you meet others halfway or the point of collaboration. It is a marriage point of sorts – or a merging or compromising point. It may help to learn what energy promotes this agreement point between family members, other people or companies. If a planet is adversely situated by square or opposition to the midpoint then this indicates difficulty situated by a square or an opposition to the midpoint then this indicates difficulty coming to agreements or obstacles in the path.

These midpoints do not follow an obvious pattern and will fall out of zodiacal order when the Moon crosses over the opposition point at a Full Moon.

People are more open and direct with one another with creative ideas when the midpoint travels through fire signs (Fire Signs - Aries, Leo and Sagittarius).

People are secretive with one another operating with hidden agendas when the midpoint travels through water signs (Water Signs- Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces).

A Day Rating is not intended to describe the feeling of the day or how you will experience that day but offers clues about the end results to your activities if you chose to take a specific action during that Moon sign period.

A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign.

There some very important exceptions:

When a planet changes signs, the day rating can change.

When a planet changes direction, the day rating can change.

These instances are referred to as a refranation, indicating that you are to expect someone to leave before you complete your objectives or the situation totally changes due to new and unseen developments or reversals.

The Moon in Taurus is in its exaltation which normally indicates that there is a graciousness and honor of some sort. When the Moon is in Taurus, there tends to be a focus on finances, and often money comes through on these days. This is the Moon of tradition, concerned with matters of the family and gatherings. It is usually “food first” for Taurus Moons. Bonding is more apparent with loved ones. There is a need to get more grounded and find some peace and quiet. You may be carting about people or supplies. (Before automated vehicles, the bull pulled carts of supplies and people.) Taurus Moons can be lazier and more indulgent than usual. This can be a slow-moving couple of days with no rushing and lower blood pressure. The bull is more sensitive than they appear being also stubborn and not easily pulled off track. If there is a sense of being pressured this could incite rage especially if plans change without consulting the bull and then securing his/her approval. Don’t push, suggest. Find a way to make your pitch, sale or emotional plea politically palatable, practical and profitable to please and capture your benefactors’ attention. Remain sensitive and patient while watching the object of your attention become interested in your product. Making a pitch or sale with the Moon in Taurus can be tedious but you are often speaking to someone who has the means to fund your project or buy your products. If your can remember they don’t want to be pushed, they want to be seduced you will have much better luck. If you seem to be interested only in money you will loose their respect. When the Moon is in Taurus people like to buy things that are sensual to the touch. Fabrics need to be comfortable and relaxed but of high quality. Flannels, cottons and very soft wools are sought. Lots of food items, cooking and indoor/outdoor gardening are high on the activity list. This is a time to be nurtured and be nurturing. If the Taurus Moon occurs on an otherwise good day your powers of manipulation work strongly in your favor. Your ability to move to the head of the line or the top of the list if you step up and ask. Apply for a loan or mortgage. Excellent for planting flowers and beautiful bushes. If you are a Taurus, matters tend to go your way.

The Gemini Moon: The next couple of days when the Moon travels through Gemini, people tend to be more curious, talkative and restless. There is more mental activity during this time. There is a lot of moving about and scouting around town for errands, short trips and visits. It is a good time to gather information although you need to check your sources for errors and material based on hearsay as talk is abundant but not all always reliable. Topics regarding siblings can be an issue or their may be visits between them. Children are more vocal. It is time to write note and the desire for writing your thoughts down is strong. It is a good time to connect by making calls, answering letters and the like to catch up with communication needs. People may lack sensitivity and just say what ever is on their minds when the Moon is in Gemini. As long as you keep things light and lively everyone should have a good time. If you are particularly thin skinned then you may select your company more carefully. There is a need for variety. To make the best of the Moon in Gemini you might want to spend more time listening to learn more than you expected. Good time to weed your garden and plant nothing.
