  • Jupiter and Pluto meet for a conjunction in Sagittarius December 11, 2007. A conjunction between this pair was last seen in Sagittarius on November 10, 1758, during the French and Indian War. The only other planet to be found in the same zodiacal sign is Uranus, which was in Pisces then, as it is today. Neptune opposed its current Aquarius position and was seen in Leo. The topics under the canopy of this event are by its own nature "endless." The sign of Sagittarius is the domain of matters such as foreign affairs, higher learning as well as expanded understanding and broad knowledge. We must not forget in-laws are under the Sagittarius umbrella.
The sign has a future orientation that takes our perspective beyond the familiar and into wide open spaces. Wild horses running free are the perfect icon for the nature of Sagittarius. "Don't fence me in" and "the grass is always greener on the other side" are phrases that depict the Sag essence. Pluto has been a sort of lasso circling the late degree of our expanded world. Each time we open a door that leads to the future he demands you pay a toll. "It will costs you" he says. There are no free rides on my horses." Jupiter comes along to emphasize Pluto's statement here in the land of the free. Jupiter does not release burdens although he enhances any effort toward Pluto's transformation.
People want to break out of their rut. Pluto defines the rut. Jupiter expands your knowledge of the composition of the anchor that holds you in your rut. A deep desire is brewing to cut loose from the confines and binds of the past while at the same time there is the pressure from the slow prodding process of Pluto. Pluto insists upon change from the core. Change it or loose it. If you have a solid marketable idea then Jupiter will help you run with it.
Another notion describes the confines cast upon us under the guise of new freedoms, such unlimited credit resources that became the chains that choke the life out of free living. In honor of the Jupiter and Pluto conjunction, President Bush arranged with the mortgage lenders, a cap on the mortgage rates to rescue only the borrowers that are current with their payments from future rate hikes to their flexible mortgages. This will help those who are not about to loose their homes. Maybe the combination of Jupiter and Pluto just has a sick humor that means absurdity and grand acts of buffoonery. Here's another from back in 1758 from a pope also named Benedict (no offense intended): "Pope Benedict XIV removed the blanket proscription against the works of Copernicus from the Index of Forbidden Books. He left Galileo on the Index because a Pope had participated in the condemnation of Galileo". Source: Timelines in History, http://timelines.ws/.

We can also see Jupiter and Pluto conjunct in Sag as the epitome of the political mentality. During this time of this expansive (Jupiter) dominance (Pluto), the dwarf planet known as the goddess of grain, Ceres, represents the hold up of food supplies while retrograde in Taurus, the Earth. A report of the Appropriations Veto Threats May Lead to Further Hardship for Hungry Americans - (the WIC program). The Farm Bill has been derailed since late October. "We are on the brink of a crisis for food banks and hungry Americans," said Vicki Escarra, president and chief executive officer of America's Second Harvest-The Nation's Food Bank Network. (For more on the America's Second Harvest Network, please visit www.secondharvest.org.) The most recent report of December 7, 2007 states that the Senate may pass the Farm Bill before the holiday recess. Ceres has been retrograde since September 20, 2007, and turns direct on December 28, 2007 at 9° Taurus 41.
I believe Jupiter and Pluto can offer a powerhouse of change in the right direction if properly channeled. This can be the break you have waited for a lifetime. The task is to corral the wild horses into a coherent group that has a strong purpose and a solid business plan ready for signatures of your backers. Sagittarius does not guarantee high minded individuals and is often greedy and self-serving. If your goals have honorable intentions you have an equal chance for success as for those of lesser honor. A few things under the rulership of Pluto are the underworld and its commodities like coal and crude oil, gold and other minerals and criminals and their hunters. Jupiter rules Santa Claus, clergy, professors, buses, trains and large human cargo vessels to carry people on long journeys.
Keep your own journal of Jupiter and Pluto events. They have been applying their influence for the past year since Jupiter entered Sagittarius on November 23, 2006.
Struggling with your drive and business flow? Retrograde Mars in Cancer has watered it down. Passive aggressive threats are abundant especially against family members. Mars in Cancer would rather eat its troubles away.
Not to worry as this week there are more days rated GOOD DAYS to Forward Your Endeavors then in weeks past or to come. Gear up for a busy week and an abundance of opportunity for those that can get off the couch.
The New Moon on Sunday is another much needed boost. The Sabian symbol for the degree of the New Moon is tiny children in sun bonnets. The Moon is in its darkest period December 9th and 10th. Watch for the seeds planted now to spring into healthy plants in nine months.

    Transits: 2007 Good Days
The Good Days are once again hinged upon a decent aspect to Pluto in Sagittarius who acts as a hungry hound at the end of that sign, requiring you feed him and his litany of demands before tending to your own needs. Pluto's appetite for control and attention is like a bottomless pit. When other planets are very late in a sign then their symbolism has the last word as the transiting Moon forms its last aspect before leaving a sign. There are some exceptions when the Moon is in Libra and Aquarius it forms an aspect of opportunity, sextile to Pluto; while in Aries and Leo the Moon forms a harmonious trine to Pluto. Of course this applies when no other planet transits the final degrees of any sign or equal in declination with the Moon.
This week day(s) this week for taking action to forward your endeavors are:
Saturday 12/8/2007 beginning 2:10 AM until Monday 12/10/07 at 10:35 AM.
Again on 12/10 after 1:50 PM But best after 7:42 PM through Wednesday 12/12/07 at 8:35 PM.
Good again Thursday 12/13/07 at midnight through Saturday 12/15/07 at 6:50 AM.

Moon "Out of Bounds - This Week - September 30 - October 4
Since the summer of 2001 the Moon has been traveling very high in the sky because its range in declination shoots beyond the 23°27' line at the Tropic of Cancer in the northern sky and beyond the 23°27' Tropic of Capricorn in the southern sky. The Sun reaches its maximum north or south declination at these two boundaries at the summer solstice and winter solstice. When the Moon travels very high into these out of bounds zones it is not only higher in the sky but we seem to have stronger emotional reactions to events during these times.
Here I will include the days of the month when the Moon travels out-of-bounds in declination:
  • December 7, 2007 approximately 3 p.m. through December 12, 2007 - approximately 6 p.m.
  • December 21, 2007 approximately 6 a.m. through December 25, 2007 - approximately 7 p.m.
  • January 4, 2008 approximately midnight through January 9, 2008. - approximately midnight.
  • January 17, 2008. Approximately 3 p.m. through January 22, 2008 - approximately midnight.
  • January 31, 2008 approximately 6 a.m. through February 5, 2008 - approximately 6 a.m.
  • February 14, 2008 approximately midnight through February 18, 2008 - approximately 6 a.m.
  • February 27, 2008 approximately noon through March 3, 2008. - approximately 6 p.m.

  • Mars has been out of bounds since October 4, 2007 and will not return until midday April 25, 2008. Mars reaches its highest point in declination on January 3, 2008, at +26°58' north, through January 10, 2008.

    Moon/Sun Midpoint Sign Changes
Try looking at your surrounding circumstances through the view of the Moon and Sun midpoint. This is the point where you meet others halfway or the point of collaboration. It is a marriage point of sorts- or a merging or compromise point. It may helpful to learn what energy promotes harmony and agreements between friends, mates, family members, and all other people or companies. If a planet is adversely situated by a square or an opposition to the midpoint then this indicates difficulty coming to agreements or obstacles in the path. Certainly the 150° quincunx can upset an ongoing negotiation and will need to be reworked later to attain success.

These midpoints do not follow an obvious pattern, but there is a pattern. The point will move along in zodiacal order for a while and then pops over to the opposite side of the zodiac after the Moon and Sun oppose at a Full Moon.

People are more romantic, open and direct with one another with creative ideas when the midpoint travels through fire signs (Fire Signs - Aries, Leo and Sagittarius).

People are more sexual or secretive with one another, operating with hidden agendas when the midpoint travels through water signs. Expect passive/aggressive behavior and brooding. Psychological slights are easily passed without intention but reap much havoc in relationships. Remain sensitive to others and compassionate to save the day. (Water Signs: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces).

People tend to be more socially available with intellectual exchanges when this point travels through air signs. Information flows easily with the Gemini midpoint. Compromise is more likely with the midpoint in Libra. Maintaining a friendships can be expected with Aquarius. (Air Signs - Gemini, Libra and Aquarius).

People interact about practical matters in a methodical fashion. When the Moon/Sun midpoint is in Taurus and Capricorn the goals are aimed at keeping traditions, making or solving money problems and forwarding business. Service and the task at hand is the goal with Virgo midpoints. (Earth Signs: Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.)

    Please read my
article on Refranations as they are an important astrological event marker.

For ease of reading the details of each day, when available or appropriate, follow the daily summary.

A Day Rating is not intended to describe the feeling of the day or how you will experience that day but offers clues about the end results to your activities if you chose to take a specific action during that Moon sign period.

A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign.

    There some very important exceptions:
  • When a planet changes signs, the day rating can change.
  • When a planet changes direction, the day rating can change.

  •
These instances are referred to as a refranation, indicating that you are to expect someone to leave before you complete your objectives or the situation totally changes due to new and unseen developments or reversals.

Aquarius rules mirrors or tape recorders, where reflection and repetitiveness are modes of behavior. Incessant talkers are reported, debating any passing point. MOON GOES VOID OF COURSE AFTER SEXTILE JUPITER (11th Sign to 9th Sign) - Dec 15 2007

    MOON ENTERING PISCES (12th Sign) - Dec 15 2007
The Pisces Moon can be a time of divine inspiration and composition. It is normally a sympathetic and empathetic time. This is a great time to recharge your batteries with some well needed down time. For some they may seek an escape with alcohol or mind-altering substances. You may feel compelled toward activities that support what feels like a mission or become a vehicle for divine intervention. This moon period can hold both gentle and forceful energy. Neptune the god of the sea, rules Pisces can be divinely spiritual or filled with upheaval when enraged. Hurricanes after all are born at sea. Tidal waves, tsunami and monsoons are all ruled by Neptune as are any major rain or snow storm. This can be a sensitive and romantic couple of days. There may be a presence of strong feelings of faith combined with a need to make a spiritual connection. It is normally a sympathetic and empathetic period; people can be overly sensitive and feel victimized. At times when feeling overly frustrated and misunderstood, striking out at others turns the victim into the victimizer as with the wounded puppy syndrome. There may be a strong focus on cosmetic and superficial appearances. Some may experience a Pisces Moon as a "black cloud" or fear that something unfortunate will occur as with 'Murphy's Law". There is a strong spiritual hunger during this time. Emotions range from melancholy to sentimental. This is a very good time for meditation, yoga and prayer and connecting to the universal divine protector. On a mundane level, there may be all sorts of sneaky behavior behind the scenes and misrepresentations. You may become aware of secrets. Clandestine affairs love a Pisces Moon. Elect to work behind the scenes for tasks requiring solitude. Intuition runs high; so trust your gut feelings. Music can be used as a tool to alter moods. Practice meditation, yoga and prayer. Create something poetic and be open to receive inspiration. Help someone -- service and sacrifice is Pisces' middle name and it helps with any tendency toward self pity. Be aware of the lack of boundaries. The weather may be wet or misty. This is a fertile time and productive time in the garden. Planting and cultivating. If a Moon phases occurs while the Moon is in Pisces, people take action on the secrets revealed. The rule of thumb with a Pisces Moon is that you will land in a different place than you expected if you choose this time to initiate your objectives. If you are a Pisces, matters generally tend to go your way.
