    This weekend's First Quarter Moon in Aquarius (Nov 17, 2007) has a hidden twist because it leads to matters that will be fully exposed at a Lunar Eclipse on Aug 16, 2008. These matters relate back to the parenting Solar Eclipse on Feb 16, 1999. The most obvious story comes to mind when Bill Clinton was asked in 1999 what he will do now that his presidency is winding down. At that point his impeachment ordeal ended at the Feb '99 Solar Eclipse and six months later, he spoke of putting his efforts into his wife's career.
    In regard to Nov 17, 2007, pay close attention to all the matters related to these surrounding few days. Watch for these developments to be reactivated in 90 days and again in six months, all of which will be presented for judgment, and full action at the Aug '08 Lunar Eclipse. This could be anything from an art show to matters pertaining to your health. You will have the opportunity to redo in order to produce a perfect project.
    This week we straddle two planet stations with Mars still standing on its retrograde degree and Uranus scheduled to turn direct on November 24, 2007. Putting that pair on the same stage is brazenly unsettling. Expect anything to erupt or flare up unannounced. This makes for a hot kitchen over the holiday week and heated tempers pushing the limits. Blood pressure will rise with erratic cardiac rhythms. If you are prone to over-cook your own goose under pressure you may want to diffuse with stress-reduction techniques before trouble sets in.
    The potency of the Mars retrograde station embeds significant problems related to the engine of motivation; the full head of steam to power the projects; the quality of the workmanship and the delivery of the end product. Keeping all this in mind puts you one step ahead.

    Retrograde Mars will retrieve older unresolved issues for review, renovation, reformation, renewal and repair. This is the time for an overhaul. Even the last Mars retrograde (October 1, 2005) was a time review as it related to projects or issues requiring your review. More can be learned from the history made during times when Mars turned retrograde in Cancer. The most recent same sign events for a retrograde Mars occurred:

  • 1992 at 27°Cancer on Nov 28.
  • 1975 at 2°Cancer on Nov 6.
  • 1960 at 18°Cancer on Nov 20.
  • 1928 at 9°Cancer on Nov 11.
  • 1913 at 24°Cancer on Nov 26.

    • With a little research these dates will reveal commonalities linking the same sign symbolism and, when studied with a natal chart, will reveal houses symbolism for one or two of the effected houses.
    Far more interesting is the 205-year pattern formed by Mars retrograde or direct station points at nearly identical positions and dates. All Mars retrograde stations repeat at a 205-year cycle. Currently the November 15 Mars retrograde occurred at 12° Cancer 26'. Looking back 205 years, Mars turned retrograde on November 15, 1802 at 12° Cancer 28'. Back another 205 years Mars stationed at 12° Cancer 20' on November 14, 1597, and so on, looking back at 205 year intervals. Each repeat has its accompanying direct at 23°-24° Gemini on Jan 30-31, in the years 1598, 1803, 2008.
    In 1802 Thomas Jefferson was the US president. Napoleon was headed to become the Emperor of France in anther two years but in 1802 he was made consul for life. What was called "a practical steamship" surpassed older models with the invention of a stern propeller. This newer steamship transported passengers and goods well into the second half of the twentieth century, until diesel replaced steam and with it our polluting ways were established.

    Transits: 2007 Good Days
    The Good Days are once again hinged upon a decent aspect to Pluto in Sagittarius who acts as a hungry hound at the end of that sign, requiring you feed him and his litany of demands before tending to your own needs. Pluto's appetite for control and attention is like a bottomless pit. When other planets are very late in a sign then their symbolism has the last word as the transiting Moon forms its last aspect before leaving a sign. There are some exceptions when the Moon is in Libra and Aquarius it forms an aspect of opportunity, sextile to Pluto; while in Aries and Leo the Moon forms a harmonious trine to Pluto. Of course this applies when no other planet transits the final degrees of any sign or equal in declination with the Moon.
    This week the days with the least amount of trouble are limited to Saturday November 17. There a so many tricks and triggers all through the week making it unsuitable for business advancement. Next week, November 26, 27 and very early on the 28th are good days to move forward. Watch for reversals all week long.

    Moon "Out of Bounds
    Since the summer of 2001 the Moon has been traveling very high in the sky because its range in declination shoots beyond the 23°27' line at the Tropic of Cancer in the northern sky and beyond the 23°27' Tropic of Capricorn in the southern sky. The Sun reaches its maximum north or south declination at these two boundaries at the summer solstice and winter solstice. When the Moon travels very high into these out of bounds zones it is not only higher in the sky but we seem to have stronger emotional reactions to events during these times.
    Here I will include the days of the month when the Moon travels out-of-bounds in declination:
  • November 10, approximately 7:00 a.m. through November 15, approximately 2:30 p.m.
  • November 24, 2007 approximately midnight through November 28, 2007 approximately 3 a.m.
  • December 7, 2007 approximately 3 p.m. through December 12, 2007 approximately 6 p.m.
  • December 21, 2007 approximately 6 a.m. through December 25, 2007 approximately 7 p.m.
  • January 4, 2008 approximately midnight through January 9, 2008. approximately midnight.
  • January 17, 2008. Approximately 3 p.m. through January 22, 2008 approximately midnight.
  • January 31, 2008 approximately 6 a.m. through February 5, 2008 approximately 6 a.m..
  • February 14, 2008 approximately midnight through February 18, 2008 approximately 6 a.m..
  • February 27, 2008 approximately noon through March 3, 2008. Approximately 6 p.m.

    Mars has been out of bounds since October 4, 2007 and will not return until midday April 25, 2008. Mars reaches its highest point in declination on January 3, 2008, at +26°58' north, through January 10, 2008.

    Moon/Sun Midpoint Sign Changes

    A Day Rating is not intended to describe the feeling of the day or how you will experience that day but offers clues about the end results to your activities if you chose to take a specific action during that Moon sign period.

    A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign.

    There some very important exceptions:
  • When a planet changes signs, the day rating can change.
  • When a planet changes direction, the day rating can change.
