Many aspects, especially those involving slower-moving planets, can influence several days, especially when approaching their exact date. Many will last for days beyond if the planets are moving very slowly. Also, be sure to check out the Lunar Gestation Cycle and Moon Charts! | Favorable Days

The Saturday June 30th Full Moon in Capricorn is cooperating with the present astrological symbolism, bringing mostly stressful complications in business and reversals in rulings. The reversals come from the Mercury retrograde coupled with the Uranus retrograde station of last week. On Friday June 29th the U.S. Supreme Court reversed its April 2007 ruling not to hear claims from the Guantánamo detainees' of a right to challenge their detention in American courts. The Capricorn Full Moon represents the father and in this case has the last word. Extending this to the Supreme Court, "the father" symbolism appears to have risen to a higher level (Capricorn principal) which expresses that the trusted body of government is developing a conscience. It will take another six months before they begin hearing cases but at least this brings a round of hope. This very high Full Moon has captured my attention, so I offer here these thoughts of when the Moon travels "out of bounds". Since the fall of 2001 the Moon has been traveling very high in the sky or "out-of- bounds" which is a term used when the Moon or planets travel beyond the boundary of 23°27' of declination set by the Sun at the summer solstice when in the northern sky or beyond the 23°27' of declination in the southern sky when the Sun stands still at the winter solstice. Not until 2009 will the Moon remain inside the Sun's corral. When the Moon travels very high into these out-of-bounds it's not only higher in the sky but we experience stronger emotional reactions to events during these times. When a Moon phase occurs while the Moon is out-of-bounds the internal and external weather spikes to even greater heights. People tend to squawk when confined and are tempted to break out of old molds. Think of it as a time to run away from the pack and do your own thing or beat your own drum. Popular problems and issues gain support and apply greater pressure. Pressure builds and the steam is released. The Sumatra 9.0 earthquake that caused the great tsunami December 26, 2004 showed the Cancer Full Moon at nearly 28° north declination. Hurricane Katrina hit land when the Moon was even higher beyond 28° south declination and in its Last Quarter and out-of-bounds. The Full Moon now on June 30, 2007 shows the Moon very high once again in the southern sky at 27° declination. Extra caution is needed when dealing with others and when traveling. Consequences carry on beyond the immediate time-frame and our emotions are off the charts for whatever good reason creating an influence on our actions. Be mindful that you might be more distracted setting up absent-minded behaviors. It is helpful to look ahead when the Moon travels out-of-bounds in declination. I have included the dates this month with the times rounded off to the nearest half hour: The Moon travels out-of bounds when in the northern sky signs Gemini and Cancer and in the southern sky signs of Sagittarius and Capricorn. Here we note: 8:30 p.m., remaining through July 1st at 10:00 p.m. This weekend's Full Moon is the soaking up energy and calling for your projects to be delivered. 2007 Good Days: As a matter of fact the good days are all hinged upon a decent aspect to Pluto in Sagittarius who acts as a hungry hound at the end of that sign, requiring you feed him and his litany of demands before tending to your own needs. Pluto's appetite for control and attention is like a bottomless pit. When other planets are very late in a sign then their symbolism has the last word as the Moon forms its last aspect before leaving a sign. This boreal summer Saturn becomes the latest planet for about two months from August 6-September 2. For the most part, until Pluto leaves Sagittarius next year, I do like a few Moon signs.
