Don't miss out on the planetary aspects at the end of the Report to fill in the blanks on most days.
Many aspects, especially those involving slower-moving planets, can influence several days, especially when approaching their exact date. Many will last for days beyond if the planets are moving very slowly.
Also, be sure to check out the Lunar Gestation Cycle and Moon Charts!

  • The Saturday June 30th Full Moon in Capricorn is cooperating with the present astrological symbolism, bringing mostly stressful complications in business and reversals in rulings. The reversals come from the Mercury retrograde coupled with the Uranus retrograde station of last week. On Friday June 29th the U.S. Supreme Court reversed its April 2007 ruling not to hear claims from the Guantánamo detainees' of a right to challenge their detention in American courts. The Capricorn Full Moon represents the father and in this case has the last word. Extending this to the Supreme Court, "the father" symbolism appears to have risen to a higher level (Capricorn principal) which expresses that the trusted body of government is developing a conscience. It will take another six months before they begin hearing cases but at least this brings a round of hope.
This very high Full Moon has captured my attention, so I offer here these thoughts of when the Moon travels "out of bounds".
Since the fall of 2001 the Moon has been traveling very high in the sky or "out-of- bounds" which is a term used when the Moon or planets travel beyond the boundary of 23°27' of declination set by the Sun at the summer solstice when in the northern sky or beyond the 23°27' of declination in the southern sky when the Sun stands still at the winter solstice. Not until 2009 will the Moon remain inside the Sun's corral. When the Moon travels very high into these out-of-bounds it's not only higher in the sky but we experience stronger emotional reactions to events during these times. When a Moon phase occurs while the Moon is out-of-bounds the internal and external weather spikes to even greater heights. People tend to squawk when confined and are tempted to break out of old molds. Think of it as a time to run away from the pack and do your own thing or beat your own drum. Popular problems and issues gain support and apply greater pressure. Pressure builds and the steam is released. The Sumatra 9.0 earthquake that caused the great tsunami December 26, 2004 showed the Cancer Full Moon at nearly 28° north declination. Hurricane Katrina hit land when the Moon was even higher beyond 28° south declination and in its Last Quarter and out-of-bounds. The Full Moon now on June 30, 2007 shows the Moon very high once again in the southern sky at 27° declination. Extra caution is needed when dealing with others and when traveling. Consequences carry on beyond the immediate time-frame and our emotions are off the charts for whatever good reason creating an influence on our actions. Be mindful that you might be more distracted setting up absent-minded behaviors. It is helpful to look ahead when the Moon travels out-of-bounds in declination.

I have included the dates this month with the times rounded off to the nearest half hour:

The Moon travels out-of bounds when in the northern sky signs Gemini and Cancer and in the southern sky signs of Sagittarius and Capricorn. Here we note:

  • The current out-of-bounds period that began on June 26 -

  •     8:30 p.m., remaining through July 1st at 10:00 p.m.
  • Also on July 10 - 7:00 a.m. through July 14 - 8:30 p.m.
  • Again on July 24 -3:30 a.m. through July 29 - 8:00 a.m.
  • And then, not again until August 6.

  • This weekend's Full Moon is the soaking up energy and calling for your projects to be delivered.

2007 Good Days: As a matter of fact the good days are all hinged upon a decent aspect to Pluto in Sagittarius who acts as a hungry hound at the end of that sign, requiring you feed him and his litany of demands before tending to your own needs. Pluto's appetite for control and attention is like a bottomless pit. When other planets are very late in a sign then their symbolism has the last word as the Moon forms its last aspect before leaving a sign. This boreal summer Saturn becomes the latest planet for about two months from August 6-September 2. For the most part, until Pluto leaves Sagittarius next year, I do like a few Moon signs.

    New Weekly Feature
For ease of reading the details of each day, when available or appropriate, follow the daily summary.

A Day Rating is not intended to describe the feeling of the day or how you will experience that day but offers clues about the end results to your activities if you chose to take a specific action during that Moon sign period.

A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign.

There are some very important exceptions:
  • When a planet changes signs, the day rating can change.
  • When a planet changes direction, the day rating can change.

  •
These instances are referred to as a refranation, indicating that you are to expect someone to leave before you complete your objectives or the situation totally changes due to new and unseen developments or reversals.

    MOON ENTERS AQUARIUS - Jul 2 2007
Aquarius is an outgoing air sign ruling friendship and groups that join to exchange ideas and share like-minded ideas. With an Aquarius Moon the unusual, brand-new, and bizarre are the order of the day. This is usually a more social time with the unexpected as the norm. Aquarius rules anything very strange or alien in nature. Emotions are more erratic with unpredictable expressions. When independence streak is triggered some people express themselves with alienating behaviors becomes obvious. This is also true with nations, and companies, etc. There is a sense or expectation of change, and for some it may feel like impending doom. For others a strong surge of hope is evident. Aquarius is a fixed sign, indicating that things may not really change but evolve to the level of social consciousness. This may be a good time for revelations and awakenings. Aquarius rules mirrors or tape recorders, where reflection and repetitiveness are modes of behavior. Incessant talkers are reported, debating any passing point. This is the sign of invention and modernization. If you are an Aquarius, matters tend to go your way. Doctor appointments on days with Aquarius Moons can lead to treatments with the most modern techniques and equipment a note from Carole Smith's medical appointment research). In the garden it's a good time to eliminate bugs and weeds.

A marketing extravaganza. An opportunity that involves teaching.
For personal use: Take on a new study that allows you to move forward.
For business use: Iron out political faux pas. Look for replacements.

MOON GOES VOID OF COURSE AFTER CONTRAPARALLEL MARS - Jul 4 2007

    MOON ENTERS PISCES - Jul 4 2007
The Pisces Moon can be a time of divine inspiration and composition. It is normally a sympathetic and empathetic time. This is a great time to recharge your batteries with some well needed down time. For some they may seek an escape with alcohol or mind-altering substances. You may feel compelled toward activities that support what feels like a mission or become a vehicle for divine intervention. This moon period can hold both gentle and forceful energy. Neptune the god of the sea, rules Pisces can be divinely spiritual or filled with upheaval when enraged. Hurricanes after all are born at sea. Tidal waves, tsunami and monsoons are all ruled by Neptune as are any major rain or snow storm. This can be a sensitive and romantic couple of days. There may be a presence of strong feelings of faith combined with a need to make a spiritual connection. It is normally a sympathetic and empathetic period; people can be overly sensitive and feel victimized. At times when feeling overly frustrated and misunderstood, striking out at others turns the victim into the victimizer as with the wounded puppy syndrome. There may be a strong focus on cosmetic and superficial appearances. Some may experience a Pisces Moon as a "black cloud" or fear that something unfortunate will occur as with 'Murphy's Law". There is a strong spiritual hunger during this time. Emotions range from melancholy to sentimental. This is a very good time for meditation, yoga and prayer and connecting to the universal divine protector. On a mundane level, there may be all sorts of sneaky behavior behind the scenes and misrepresentations. You may become aware of secrets. Clandestine affairs love a Pisces Moon. Elect to work behind the scenes for tasks requiring solitude. Intuition runs high; so trust your gut feelings. Music can be used as a tool to alter moods. Practice meditation, yoga and prayer. Create something poetic and be open to receive inspiration. Help someone -- service and sacrifice is Pisces' middle name and it helps with any tendency toward self pity. Be aware of the lack of boundaries. The weather may be wet or misty. This is a fertile time and productive time in the garden. Planting and cultivating. If a Moon phases occurs while the Moon is in Pisces, people take action on the secrets revealed. The rule of thumb with a Pisces Moon is that you will land in a different place than you expected if you choose this time to initiate your objectives. If you are a Pisces, matters generally tend to go your way.

MOON GOES VOID OF COURSE AFTER SQUARE PLUTO - Jul 6 2007

VENUS PARALLEL MARS - Exact Jul 6 2007
Brief description: Men and women socialize. The ability to connect in a social setting. People in general are more sociable. The presence of both opportunity and desire for romance and sex. A love thing. Can be motivated to shop. Flow of money. Motivation toward acquisition. Opposites attract. Opposites are brought together for a singular purpose. Partnering. Close bonding and involvement with those attracted to one another for friendship, business or romance. Good match for love and money matters.
For personal use: Take someone along to find what you are looking for or go to a party.
For business use: If all other aspects are favorable this could bring about a good partnership. May be a profitable money day.
This aspect's range of effect is from July 13 through July 17, 2004.

    MOON ENTERS ARIES - Jul 6 2007
The Aries Moon has a higher energy level and can be aggressive and self focused. There us a strong need for action and problem solving. During this time you may seek independence and be short tempered, confrontational and challenging. You may have a single-minded mission or the potential to start something from scratch. The daily tones are noisier and less tolerant then other Moon signs. There might be an absence of social grace or pleasantries but not lacking in charm. This is an emotionally demanding period and can be filled with a need for sexual release. Assertiveness is seen everywhere and some people or other critters just will not take no for an answer. On the positive note you may begin projects you have held off. On the other side of that you may not finish them either. Plant onions. Good time to weed the garden and kill insects. If you are a Aries, matters tend to go your way.
