Don't miss out on the planetary aspects at the end of the Report to fill in the blanks on most days.
Many aspects, especially those involving slower-moving planets, can influence several days, especially when approaching their exact date. Many will last for days beyond if the planets are moving very slowly.
Also, be sure to check out the Lunar Gestation Cycle and Moon Charts!

  • Today a highly active Last Quarter Moon at 21° Scorpio involves a square (90°) to the Sun (as always) but this Aquarius Sun opposes Saturn in Leo. This is a weighted configuration that speaks to the changes of our dear planet Earth (a related note about this follows.) One indication may show both an increase in jobs and striking workers. Also, a trigger to the rising water (Neptune) and submerging land (Saturn) are the focus of the opposition of that pair that increases in intensity up to the end of the month, and which will be re-emphasized by the Aquarius Moon later on this week. For people, the Sun and Saturn opposition increases work for the dentist. It is clear it is time to take those supplements for your arthritic joints. Father issues are obvious and hard work is his answer. You may need to make arrangements for housing for elderly parents. Debt is an issue and the solution is a worry-free plan with a budget that has automatic payments. Just put something into action to take it off your mind.
When we get past this weekend we have a good day on Monday for some opportunities. Keep in mind that Mercury retrograde begins Tuesday night at 11:38 p.m. EST at 10° Pisces and will last until March 7th. I suspect we will all think we are losing our minds as Mercury slips in and out of lucid thought in Pisces. You will however be prone to spiritual relief where meditation works wonders. Practical relief appears on the 26th when Mercury backs into Aquarius for the remainder of the retrograde period.
By Wednesday the focus comes right back to Saturn as Valentine's Day is riddled with 150° aspects. There are three unattractive 150° angles: first, Venus in Pisces to Saturn in Leo, followed by the Moon in Capricorn to Saturn and finally, a very critical 150° from Mars in Capricorn to Saturn in Leo. This does not look like a love-fest. This looks like love hurts. Have a lot of patience, be forgiving and leave room for apologies. Find a good place to eat where you know the food is great and expect nothing. Mars and Saturn warn: if you want to cook for your sweetie, watch out for knives and fires. Driving around isn't a good idea both because the cops are everywhere and bickering interferes with your love poems. Even if you spend it in bed its likely to be disappointing. Find a way to sit this Valentine's Day out and still be there. That's a puzzle. But that's what you get with the quincunx (150°). Later is better, so plan your evening after 8 p.m. when your options improve. Whatever you do, don't ignore Valentine's Day because that'll be the death of you. Good Luck!

Thursday there are no major planetary aspects but Jupiter is square the nodes of the Moon. This is probably a good thing. Jupiter usually brings at the very least a new perspective. The indications are that many decide they just don't think they are suited for this committed relationship thing anyway. Freedom calls and off they go.
Friday the Moon sets off the Saturn and Neptune opposition again when it joins Neptune first and two hours later, opposes Saturn. Water and land - mud or snowed under- all come to mind. The Sun and planetoid Ceres are parallel through Sunday which brings a compelling desire to tell you about Ceres.
Ceres, until recently, was the largest known asteroid orbiting between Mars and Saturn. It is has been used in astrological studies in more recent years and I began using it in charts in the 80's when Fran McEvoy introduced the asteroids to me.
In mythology Ceres is the Roman goddess of agriculture and the patron saint of the Isle of Sicily because her discovery (23° Taurus) was made by the Sicilian astronomer, Giuseppe Piazzi on January 1, 1801. Her mythological role is the Earth Goddess of the Harvest who presided over fertility rites and rites for the dead. A popular Ceres story is when her daughter Persephone, also called Proserpina, was abducted by Pluto, the God of the underworld, scooped up the young maiden picking flowers and kept her for his wife. Persephone's kidnapping left her mother grief stricken, scouring the globe for her lost child. A short version of the story shows Ceres inconsolable and combing the earth for her lost child. The beautiful and famous goddess disguised herself as an old crone so that she may grieve in peace. One day three sisters found her sobbing by the side of a creek and asked what her trouble was. When she explained she lost her daughter the sisters asked her if she would care for their little brother. They thought by giving her another child to look after it might ease her pain. During her deep depression her role of Harvest Goddess dwindled and crops died all over the globe. She accepted the job of care giver while starving herself along with the rest of the globe.
Ceres' most famous moments lacked any humor and I always see her represented in a chart as "dead serious". She is evident when people undergo a health care issue. Also I find people are - in their head- either stuck with their problems or obsessed by them. When prominent in a transiting configuration we will find that news stories accompany grim details. She does represent care taking and care giving, especially of children, but includes all other forms of tending to others. Health Insurance companies have chosen her name as their logo. Ceres is also the name of a well-known juice company. Certainly every cereal we eat is a Ceres item. Food and supplies in general are under her domain. As the goddess of agriculture we can expect to find her front and center when news stories involve food and agriculture happen. She is the goddess image of the virgin for the constellation of Virgo. She is also depicted as both mother and virgin and therefore, Mary the virgin mother.
Last Saturday February 3rd Ceres and Uranus were conjunct (0°) in Pisces. This happens every five years. Jupiter tends to embellish or enlarge the implications of an aspect. With Jupiter square Ceres Feb 9, 2007 and still within orb to qualify the conjunction between Ceres and Uranus, we see the latest and greatest in technological advances from Uranus and a stunning example of the Goddess of the Harvest at her best in a story reported by AFP Worldwide news from Oslo, Norway that a Doomsday storage bin is being constructed by the north pole to withstand extremes in temperature and flooding if one or both polar caps were to melt down. The storage bin is dubbed as "Noah's Ark of food" and will contain three million batches of seeds from all known varieties of the planet's crops. See the article at
www.rawstory.com. This story also fits very well with the grand fixed cross this weekend in the chart of the Last Quarter Moon in Scorpio. The indicators lead me to believe that a focus on a catastrophe of some sort would emerge. This fits in a positive way. The report from the North Pole seed vault shows the action taken for the future. The Last Quarter symbolism is the withering plant gone to seed at the end of is cycle that is then collected and stored to replenish the future. The vault will begin construction in March-the month of the current eclipse season. On March 3rd a lunar eclipse will occur at 13°Virgo at the south node. On March 18th a solar eclipse at the Pisces north node of the Moon will occur at 28° Pisces the path of the eclipse shadow runs from India, north through China and ending in Alaska. The path of the Sep 11, 2007 solar eclipse runs through South America to Antarctica. The path of the August 2008 solar eclipse runs across Oslo, Norway and near the north pole.
Another story that has Ceres written all over it is the unfortunate aggression of the accomplished astronaut (Uranus) Lisa Marie Nowak, born May 10, 1963 in Washington, DC (no time given). She was born with a Uranus and Ceres conjunction in Virgo which is the opposite sign where they are transiting now in Pisces. Ceres develops attachments and can issues with their bonds with others. In relationship studies you will find couples that have a positive or strong Ceres connection often commit. Captain Nowak suited up in her astronaut's diaper and traveled 900 miles from Houston, Texas to meet her rival in a love triangle, Colleen Shipman, for a 1:00 a.m. landing on February 5, 2007 in Orlando, Fl. Novak was reported boarding the same shuttle, dressed in a disguise and dead serious about confronting Captain Shipman about her involvement with Commander William Oefelein, born March 29, 1965 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia (no time found). Nowak packed a knife, pepper spray and a BB gun. The disguise is also reflected with the Sun and Neptune nearly conjunct in the chart of the incident in the parking lot where she used the pepper-spray on Colleen Shipman. Neptune is famous for cloaking appearances and also rules the pepper spray. Venus (ruler of love) is also in Pisces and is conjunct both Uranus and Ceres - all near the north nodes of the Moon. This translates as the whole world learning of a bizarre and unfortunate story of love and intrigue among some brilliant minds run amuck. The node amplifies and magnifies the planet's meaning and broadens the impact. Jupiter is already doing that with its square (90°) to the entire Pisces group (called a stellium) so we get a doubling effect. As we expected in our Tuesday night class there are stories that suggest that the fellow involved, William Oefelein, is probably not without blame as he has a configuration in his chart that is prone to provoking trouble. Lisa Marie Nowak is a Taurus with Moon in Sagittarius that would have been quincunx (150°) at some point on the day she was born. She chose a day to act out her jealous rage with the Sun and Moon also 150°. I always say that the quincunx is that "life's messy, clean it up" aspect.

    New Weekly Feature
For ease of reading the details of each day, when available or appropriate, follow the daily summary.

A Day Rating is not intended to describe the feeling of the day or how you will experience that day but offers clues about the end results to your activities if you chose to take a specific action during that Moon sign period.

A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign.

    There some very important exceptions:
  • When a planet changes signs, the day rating can change.
  • When a planet changes direction, the day rating can change.

  •
These instances are referred to as a refranation, indicating that you are to expect someone to leave before you complete your objectives or the situation totally changes due to new and unseen developments or reversals.

    - Good Day to assess
          & deal with dead weight
    .
The Moon is void of course most of the day and evening. With an emphasis on Saturn this morning it is likely to feel heavy and depressing but the influence draws your attention to responsibilities that you can sort through today. You may in fact be carrying a very heavy load that requires some sort of action. The Last Quarter Moon today adds to intensity and with all quarter Moons they require action or at least a response. You may be affected by a job review, a fear of losing a job; or, you may be in line for a promotion or a new job, all of which are stress provoking. Look for the stuck energy to pass over this weekend and soon you will move on to the adjustments called for by Mercury, which is getting ready to turn retrograde Tuesday night. While your head is filled with important decisions realize there are good days in a Mercury retrograde period to move forward.

          your efforts today

You may meet the boss behind the boss within your daily routine. If you are not up for a challenge this may not be the day you chose to proceed forward. If you are clear and have a thorough business plan that is convincing, then go for it. On a personal level your need for adventure takes you beyond to a place where you can imagine yourself transformed. You will have many opportunities over the next year to achieve your new goals.

    - Rough.
Oh, my Valentine. What will you bring lovers today?! This is one of those Valentine's Day when you can be happy to be single. It's a mess. Money is eaten up by an unexpected mishap and emotions meet a brick wall. All of your emotional outlets are blocked. You try to take action to make it all better and bang! Sleep late and start your day around 8 pm. You get a break in the evening.Raise the vibration by buying flowers today. Eat chocolate and draw hearts. Sorry, I don't mean to be mean. I am just the messenger and Mercury is retrograde.

     Aspects for the Week

    Saturday
SUN OPPOSITE SATURN - Exact Feb 10 2007
Brief description: When this aspect occurs, once a year, expect an executive house cleaning day, even on a personal level. This aspect is especially pointed at Capricorn issues as Saturn is the natural ruler of the that sign. In this case, Saturn is in the sign of Leo and not happy there. Leo is opposite one of its ruling signs, Aquarius which makes this a humiliating time for the old man. His performance reviews are poor and his spirits are low and his health is showing signs of wear and tear. Knees and joints are aching and weak teeth need attention. This aspect can act as "judgment day" for those in high positions. Positions ranging from head of family to head of state are up for review. Feelings of depression and frustration begin to break upon completion of this aspect in a day or two. A noticeably low point in energy levels with roadblocks and problems persist and great effort is required to make corrections. Difficult decisions are made involving layoffs or abandoning lost causes. Major delays and obstacles force issues to revise and improve or eliminate. Cutbacks and cut off with minimal concern for others. Harsh consequences. The cold, hard facts. Problems and limitations. Father issues and poor self esteem. It can indicate a breaking point, the lowest of day s in the Saturn retrograde period which began on December 5, 2006 and won’t turn direct on April, 2007 when the metaphorical faucet will just begin to be opened after a long deep freeze. Elderly and infirmed people require more assistance. Hard work.
For personal use: Take an honest inventory of your successes without diminishing their value. Give yourself a break today.
For business use: Share your burdens with trusted advisors. Expect some improvement in a couple of days.

    Monday
MARS SEMISEXTILE NEPTUNE - Exact Feb 12 2007
Brief description: To act from intuition and inspiration This aspect may accompany unrealistic notions for projects but has a dualistic potential for a fortuitous event or unseen conditions of loss or gain. There may be significant leaks of private information or clandestine activities. This particular aspect presents Mars in a 30° aspect behind Neptune. Neptune's intrinsic nature rules matters behind the scenes that is compounded by a planet creeping up from behind and you have a double twelfth house symbolism. Mars can activate and excite a cloaked area. The ailing Pope may take a turn during this aspect. This is a fine aspect for designers and artist of all types. Those in costume, jewelry and decorating are inspired. Composers get a strong hit of creativity. Musicians and dancers enjoy success. To find things lost.
For personal use: Follow your hunches.
For business use: Use music and color to enhance your image. Invite the wisdom of spiritual advisors to advance your business.

VENUS SEMISEXTILE NEPTUNE - Exact Feb 12 2007
Brief description: Hazy unrealistic notions regarding money and love. Something involving women and secrets send up a smoke screen effect. This allows for a cosmetic patch to cover a trouble spot. In big business the cosmetic patch may be an attempt to hide a red flag. Dress with dramatic attire with costume like flare. A peaceful, meditative experience.
For personal use: Be careful about borrowing or lending anything. Romance may disappoint.
For Business use: This looks like a martini lunch deal.

    Tuesday
VENUS SEXTILE MARS - Exact Feb 13 2007
Brief description: This opportunity for meeting someone new increases cooperation between male and females in general. Venus ruling beauty, females and affection in the sign of Aries heats up her drive to be connected romantically when couples find each through friends and group activities. This is the time to mix with others with shared interests. Mars ruling the masculine component is in the air sign of Aquarius and is completely focused on his buddies and more in his head; detached and slow to commit, but will, when he finds the right partner. Venus is impatient and might not wait around for him to get things going. This may be a better time to find a playmate to explore new interests. Keep it light, fun and have a good time; staying connected without expectations is the way to handle this love period that will last for the next few weeks. Smooth over old gaps in relationships and make new connections. Use the motivation from Mars to find the funds that you need
For personal use: Share in family celebrations but allow for social time to meet new people.
For business use: It is a time for creative advantages as this aspect supports the flow of money. Ask for money you need. Harmony between male and female associates makes this a good time for cold calls where charm will open doors. Take an artistic approach to get your point across and leave a stunning impression.

    MERCURY STATIONARY -RETROGRADE UNTIL MARCH 7, 20007 AT 11:45 p.m. - Feb 13 2007

    Wednesday
VENUS QUINCUNX SATURN - Exact Feb 14 2007
Brief description: Love hurts. Relationships make needed adjustments. Financial adjustments must be made. Difficulty in matters of insurance and banking. This aspect occurs when the Sun/Moon midpoint is in Aquarius. Representing how the financial matters may relate to cutbacks made by the government to social services, interest rates, gifting laws or bankruptcy laws. With the Moon in Pisces on this day it could indicate actions taken to make changes to policy while the public is looking in another direction.
For personal use: Try to step back from your emotional involvement and have an objective look at matters of love and money. Someone may disapprove of your choices.
For business use: Adjustments made due to a change in payroll, or the harmony of the workplace.

MARS QUINCUNX SATURN - Exact Feb 14 2007
Brief description: A stop sign aspect. Observe waning signals. Sheer frustration. A major clean up aspect. A need for adjustment. This is an urgent call involving hard work and clear organization skills. A condition or event that connects; two unrelated people, tasks or activities for a common goal. A health aspect involving bones, muscles, skeletal structure and sometimes heart trouble. There may be a need for surgery. Delays and blocks with work projects. An executive effort to control force and power. The police stop speeding drivers. Consequences when there is a strong resistance to change.
For personal use: Stretch before physical activity and pace yourself. Family relationships can be stressed.
For business use: Play by the rules today. There may be progress in business due to a critical need for your product. Good timing may place you in a primary position to apply your skills or products. Be prepared to help.

    Saturday (17th)
SUN SEXTILE PLUTO - Exact Feb 17 2007
Brief description: An obvious need to build bridges and engage with people in a position of power to assist in serious matters in your life or in the world at large. A formidable plan with determination and decisiveness. A deep revelation that supports inner and outer progress on both a personal level and how one relates to his greater surroundings. Methods for gaining control over matters that seemed larger than life. Strong sexual desires and body language. The premise for trust and deeper sharing. Open access to financial assistance.
For personal use: Seek the assistance of an expert with cathartic change.
For business use: Check your material and move forward well prepared to success.

MERCURY SEMISQUARE MARS - Exact Feb 17 2007
Brief description: "Foot in mouth" disorder. News of warnings or potential dangers. News of public figures and their medical concerns. A tendency to argue and fall into conflicts. Fast movements and talkers with impulsive reactions to information. Speaking before all the facts are in. A need to process thoughts before speaking leaving the problems that result from "foot in mouth" syndrome. Problematic day. Irritations and irritability. Possible mechanical failures. Communications breakdown.
For personal use: Do some stress reduction. Think first; speak slowly.
For business use: Get all the facts. The news of businesses and their activities switch tracks.
