  • This weekend begins with a tough Taurus Moon that ends with an aspect of conflict with Mars on Sunday night. The Full Moon in Gemini also has a Mars thing going on in the chart. Mars is found at 29° Scorpio which has a macho presence at a time when building pressure towards endings lead to crisis. I have added a chart of the US and the Full Moon with special attention to various aspects. The US chart appears extremely vulnerable. I glanced at G.W. Bush, his father, Mrs. Laura Bush and Dick Cheney. The Full Moon lies across the ascendant of the US, reminding me of 9-11. Then it was Saturn and Pluto across the ascendant of the US Chart. Saturn is opposing the US Moon and pushing a messy 150° to the US Pluto. Uranus in both charts is applying aspects between the two. President Bush did say he intended to stay in Iraq unless they tell us to go. Perhaps this is the opening for Iraq to do just that, as it does not look like a Christmas party. Regardless of the status of the nation the energy is highly haphazard, so please take care during routine or travel.
Taking a look at the week a parallel between Mercury and Pluto set the stage Dec 2nd and reveals information with a profound quality. On a personal level it may indicate an important phone call that changes everything. As if there is information you have been waiting for but with your breath held. It may not be welcomed information although for some there could be checks or letters from insurance companies, documents from banks or items pertaining to estates, licenses or permits. These and other items of information may be forthcoming - such as medical reports or announcements of the dramatic intentions of someone close. Maybe long-distance travel is an issue or a plan that changes the status of your relationship. Siblings move onto the stage with this Full Moon and the Mercury and Pluto parallel aspect. The result has a lengthy impact even if it is a message in a dream from a loved one who has passed away.

Saturday night is highly accident prone due to a square (90°) between the Sagittarius Sun and Pisces Uranus, exactly at midnight. Erratic behavior can be disruptive to relationships along with Venus which moves off the chart into a zone called out-of-bounds (OOB) in declination as of 1:30AM December 3rd Sunday until Christmas Eve at 10:15PM. Venus holds at its maximum height -24°11'south declination for 2 days December 13-15 and between 3°-4° Capricorn before it begins its return to the zodiacal herd. During that time, a Venus OOB can bring a time when you are out of touch with your sensitive side or distancing within relationships. This may be the break you need from some heavy feelings… like a ray of hope for happier times ahead. Spending may take a strange turn. It will be very interesting to see what people are buying for Christmas. Many selections may come from an unusual pallet that may not be appealing or suitable later. For others it may be that once in a lifetime thing you have always wanted but never saw before. Sunday, the Moon is void of course in Taurus from 7:31 p.m. until 10:05 p.m. Overnight, the tone switches with noise and fires of what appears to be a strange race for a dead stop that culminates on Tuesday, gathers fuel and momentum with Mars and Jupiter parallel on Monday morning. The impact sticks. It has all the ingredients for a political assassination or suicide anytime over this next week. Not long after Mercury, the thinker in a square with Saturn, the heavy, share a bad report card delivered by 3:06 p.m. Monday. The Full Moon blows the whole mess out of proportion Monday night, December 4, as it awaits the deliverer of consequences, Saturn. The celestial father figure is turning retrograde on Tuesday at 25° Leo until April 19, 2007. At that time Mars is perched at the 29° of Scorpio, an ominous position to say the least. Not until 11:59 p.m. will Mars enter Sagittarius where it remains until January 16, 2007. There is a Gemini void of course Moon that begins the moment after Mars enters Sagittarius. If you have any other options hold all of your plans for the Cancer Moon Wednesday Thursday and early Friday. Even then there is a tricky Cancer Moon period because Mercury changes signs on Friday morning. Thursday Venus acts as mediator between Saturn and Pluto when first she is trine (120°) Saturn at 2:17AM then conjunct (0°) Pluto at 10:50 p.m. Not until Friday when the Moon enters Leo at 6:52 a.m. do we get what I rate as a Good Day that will last until Sunday afternoon. The last aspect of the Leo Moon is trine (120°) Venus on December 10th.
By Friday Mercury joins the sign totaling six planets in Sagittarius including Mars, Jupiter, Sun, Venus and Pluto.
There are no greater times in a year as when Saturn is turning retrograde or direct in motion are the fatherly lessons more obvious. At 11:07 p.m. on Tuesday December 5th Saturn turns retrograde for the next four and a half months. This is normally a serious event surrounded by serious matters about two weeks prior and after the actual date of the station.
Saturn represents the law of manifestation. It is with the help of Saturn that things are actualized. Like building or buying house. Saturn manifests the structure and provides the framework within which we can build a solid base for living the life we choose for ourselves. Included are obligations that define related responsibilities, debts and boundaries associated with taking on the house.
As we and our projects develop there is a time to reassess our liabilities and assets. These times present a period when we must resist further expansion and work toward completion of our existing endeavors. Often this time is accompanied by a Saturn retrograde station when everything seems to come to a halt. Saturn in Leo can heavily dampen one’s confidence level. As Leo rules confidence. Matters developing at this time hold serious indications. When engaging in the routine of heavy work matters move more slowly and are labor intensive. The slowed results can create a period of frustration as when waiting in the long lines of a bureaucratic desk. The time is filled with Saturn issues such as father, family obligations. This is not a lenient time for those handing down the law. Matters of real estate and career are at the top of the agenda as we approach the yearly Saturn retrograde station. Structural matters at the core of your life become the most important. This is a time when the preverbal faucet is tightened to a slow drip. Resources are often earmarked for necessities only, and those who lend and give financial support are scrutinizing and less generous. Entering into financial arrangements now may not be open for negotiation later. This is the time to pace your finances throughout the winter months until Saturn turns direct in the spring. It is best to pull back until you see the money in your account before taking on new projects or major purchases. Think of your intentions in this frame; “does this purchase or new endeavor create greater security and add to existing structures?” By creating reserves this adds to your sense of security. Security insures peace of mind. The entire insurance industry banks on your fear of a lack of security which motivates you to buy insurance – a fear of being without. This is a Saturn retrograde principal.

Take a break from the chaos and visit
    Peace Village.

    New Weekly Feature
For ease of reading the details of each day, when available or appropriate, follow the daily summary.

A Day Rating is not intended to describe the feeling of the day or how you will experience that day but offers clues about the end results to your activities if you chose to take a specific action during that Moon sign period.

A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign.

    There some very important exceptions:
  • When a planet changes signs, the day rating can change.
  • When a planet changes direction, the day rating can change.

  •
These instances are referred to as a refranation, indicating that you are to expect someone to leave before you complete your objectives or the situation totally changes due to new and unseen developments or reversals.

    - Tricky because of dropped plans or reversals.
This day has some advantages. Mercury will change signs while the Moon is in Cancer, bringing light to missing data that falls out of reach, unfulfilled expectations, dropped plans or important changes with agendas. The Cancer Moon places attention on issues of country, homeland and family matters. If your plans include dealings with parents, babies, pregnancy or real estate matters or important concerns about the home where there is too much risk involved and something changes, then this affects you. News in the family creates important adjustments on a day when Mercury is the object of our attention.

     Aspects for the Week

    MOON ENTERS TAURUS - Dec 1 2006, Dec 29 2006, Jan 25 2007, Feb 21 2007, Mar 21 2007
The Moon in Taurus is in its exaltation which normally indicates that there is a graciousness and honor of some sort. When the Moon is in Taurus, there tends to be a focus on finances, and often money comes through on these days. This is the Moon of tradition, concerned with matters of the family and gatherings. It is usually “food first” for Taurus Moons. Bonding is more apparent with loved ones. There is a need to get more grounded and find some peace and quiet. You may be carting about people or supplies. Before automated vehicles, the bull pulled carts of supplies and people.) Taurus Moons can be lazier and more indulgent than usual. This can be a slow-moving couple of days with no rushing and lower blood pressure. The bull is more sensitive than they appear being also stubborn and not easily pulled off track. If there is a sense of being pressured this could incite rage especially if plans change without consulting the bull and then securing his/her approval. Don’t push, suggest. Find a way to make your pitch, sale or emotional plea politically palatable, practical and profitable to please and capture your benefactors’ attention. Remain sensitive and patient while watching the object of your attention become interested in your product. Making a pitch or sale with the Moon in Taurus can be tedious but you are often speaking to someone who has the means to fund your project or buy your products. If your can remember they don’t want to be pushed, they want to be seduced you will have much better luck. If you seem to be interested only in money you will loose their respect. When the Moon is in Taurus people like to buy things that are sensual to the touch. Fabrics need to be comfortable and relaxed but of high quality. Flannels, cottons and very soft wools are sought. Lots of food items, cooking and indoor/outdoor gardening are high on the activity list. This is a time to be nurtured and be nurturing. If the Taurus Moon occurs on an otherwise good day your powers of manipulation are strong. Your ability to move to the head of the line or the top of the list is greater today. Apply for a loan or mortgage. It is an excellent time for planting flowers and beautiful bushes. If you are a Taurus, matters tend to go your way.

    MOON ENTERING GEMINI - 10:05 p.m. Dec 3 2006
During the next couple of days when
the Moon travels through Gemini, people tend to be more curious, talkative and restless. There is more mental activity during this time. There is a lot of moving about and scouting around town for errands, short trips and visits. It is a good time to gather information although you need to check your sources for errors and material based on hearsay as talk is abundant but not all always reliable. Topics regarding siblings can be an issue or their may be visits between them. Children are more vocal. It is time to write note and the desire for writing your thoughts down is strong. It is a good time to connect by making calls, answering letters and the like to catch up with communication needs. Tuesday
    SATURN STATIONARY - Dec 5 2006
There are no greater times in a year when Saturn brings us fatherly lessons as when Saturn is turning retrograde or direct in motion. On Tuesday December 5
th Saturn turns retrograde for the next four and a half months. This is normally a serious event.
Matters developing at this time hold serious indications. When engaging in the routine of heavy work matters move more slowly and are labor intensive. The slowed results can create a period of frustration as when waiting in the long lines of a bureaucratic desk. The time is filled with Saturn issues such as father, family obligations. His is not a lenient time for those handing down the law. The entire insurance industry banks on your fear of a lack of security which motivates you to buy insurance–a fear of being without. This is a Saturn retrograde principal.
Saturn is not void of a sense of humor. You many find a comedy that accompanies the more serious matters that Saturn represents. The heaviness of this period brings thoughts of eliminating Saturn. But we would miss our chairs, floors and all those things we take for granted that hold our dear planet together and keep chaos at bay.
Retrograde Saturn in Leo may cause leaders to withdraw or hold back the frontline in battle. Problem may emerge with the health of those in charge. The decision to sell a company or business could increase during the change period from direct to retrograde. Real estate matters hold steady or decline.

    MARS ENTERING SAGITTARIUS - 11:59 p.m. Dec 5 2006
Brief description: This is a time to take action based on inspiration. For six weeks you may be charting new territory and learning new things. People are most likely to be from outside your circle and could live abroad. Men and projects from foreign countries and cultures play a major role in your interest during this time.

MOON GOES VOID OF COURSE AFTER QUINCUNX (150°) MARS – 11:59 p.m.
A refranation defines this void of course Moon period. The refranation is caused by the Moon’s attempt to reach Mars but he leaves the sign before the aspect is completed.

    Wednesday
    MOON ENTERING CANCER - 1:00 a.m. Dec 6 2006.
Information is missing and plans are changed because of Mercury’s sign change into Sagittarius on Friday at 12:52AM. Do not choose this time for important actions until after Mercury enters Sagittarius. The Moon’s final aspect then is a contra parallel Venus at 6:52 a.m. on Dec 8th.
The Cancer Moon is a nesting time and the desire to retreat and protect one's vulnerable underbelly is greater. The baby side of people surfaces and emotions are highly visible if you are at all able to get close enough as very often people are "crabby". This is a time to nurture and find a way to nurture yourself. People stick to their clans and cliques being less likely to socialize with outsiders and seem to be comfortable with close family members. Matters of saving and providing for necessities are concerns. Food preparation and shared meals are more important. Matters of cash as related to security, real estate and patriotism are Cancer matters. Issues involving dependency or defensiveness are likely to arise with the Moon here. What people need to survive also takes precedence. Headlines are more dramatic than usual. This is a great Moon for planting vegetables and the most fertile sign of the zodiac. The best time to plant fruits and vegetables and general planting. If you are a Cancer, matters tend to go your way. Enjoy family dinners and nestle in with a loved one.

    Thursday
VENUS TRINE SATURN - Exact Dec 7 2006
Brief description: A sense of loyalty and a sentiment for stability promotes time for harmony and economic balance. A time of sound but conservative judgment. There can be progress with business agreements.
For personal use: Details are worked out to bring about greater harmony
For business use: Strike a deal in a win-win situation that is designed to last over a long period of time. Investments requiring a quick return are likely to fail or not turn out to be quick in any way. Slow and steady is the way to go.

VENUS CONJUNCT PLUTO - Exact Dec 7 2006
Brief description: This aspect is seductive, intense with a strong need for fun and space in relationships. A yearning for a dramatic change in your relations that include deep honesty. A time to renew a commitment with a heighten understanding of the true needs of everyone concerned. This aspect can be very selfish. During this is eclipse season, anything can interpreted as a major change.
For personal use: Even deep and serious relationships need a period of levity. Blend compassion and sensitivity when delivering your honesty. Be careful with those you love.

    MOON ENTERING LEO - 6:52 a.m. Dec 8 2006
    Confidence is found
when the Moon transits the sign of Leo. A Leo Moon can bring sunny and playful moods, but this is a demanding couple of days for business and personal matters. The increase in confidence allows your assertive and executive side to emerge. This is a time for "the show" or a presentation. Issues in various areas of life can be showy in nature and then the spot light is waiting for the "show off". At times overconfidence develops into arrogance with a stubborn streak. On a positive note it can be a time when your confidence is up and you are able to stay on track with a goal in mind and risk taking increases. Speculation and gambling are associated with the sign of Leo. A healthy dose of these things can enhance your chances for a prize. Too much of a good thing is obviously a scenario for a problem.
The Leo pride may be an asset or liability. These couple of days work best if your express your love and appreciation for those around you, remembering to offer praise. Your generosity can be contagious as enthusiasm inspires an air of good will. It is a time when your actions are closely scrutinized as if on stage. Making every effort to be well informed and prepared in all of your activities even if today is not show time, as the Leo energy strives for perfection. This is a good time for quality time with children. Also investing time in your creative projects or anything you might consider your "baby". The children in your life are a source of joy but and need your undivided attention. Maintain a balance for love given and received. If you love it, then show it. This is a good time to tidy your garden for show but this Moon sign is considered barren and will not produce if you plant during this time. This is a great time to buy flowers for yourself or someone you love. If you are a Leo, matters tend to go your way.
