  • This period is swelling with astrological agenda. A solar eclipse that will shout its message to every corner of the globe awaits its cue on Friday, September 22, 2006 at 7:45 a.m. This eclipse season has been set well before the Pisces Lunar eclipse on September 7, 2006 and accelerated at the highest Moon of the century on the September 14, 2006 Last Quarter Moon which reached 28° 26' in declination. This adds up to news stories filled with extremes that ignite a range of emotions forcing people to take a stand and do something about the vast injustices and/or their personal goals. Several major news events are enough to convince us that the celestial writers have choreographed a really big show… one of which has fallen under the canopy of "a misunderstanding" - a Pisces and Neptune principal, when Pope Benedict - unwittingly or not, may have joined Bush in his scheme to incite the battle of Armageddon last Tuesday when he gave a speech in Germany. He enraged the collective Islamic community by appearing to compare Muhammad to the likes of Hitler and Stalin.
Another story is an example of the interruption/interception characteristic common to eclipses. The bill presented to the US Senate awaits approval of Bush's revision of the Geneva Convention. Such revisions would broaden the rules for interrogation of terrorist to suit the style of the current administration. The president was challenged by the objections submitted by top-ranking Republicans, including John McCain, plus a special letter from Colin Powell, voicing their fear that our soldiers will suffer the consequences if such changes are made.
Much of the increased drama at this time can be explained with the parallels and contra parallels. The most common understanding of a parallel occurs during solar eclipses. On occasion, more than two solar eclipses occur in a year but the norm is the bi-annual parallel of the Sun, Moon and earth at a New Moon that cause the eclipse. On the other hand, the contra parallel of the Sun, Moon and earth occur at a Full Moon causes a Lunar eclipse.
Planets also form powerful parallels. Just on Friday, September 15 Mercury and Mars were both parallel and conjunct (0°). That is the alignment I call the "foot in mouth" aspect. It also created what seemed like a special edition of a Mercury retrograde, kicking in Murphy's Law.
Certainly that adds to another very powerful Jupiter Neptune parallel now returned for its third appearance this year. Its influences are slow-moving and long-lasting, ruling foreign cultures, illusion, infiltration, philosophical and religious matters - as well as spiritual matters. I liken this aspect to the haze of invisible gas infiltrating every crevice and influencing our thoughts, moods and spirits. If you suffer from problems under the category of "difficult to define", loneliness, lethargy, depression, hard to diagnose illnesses, irregular sleep patterns and a lack of memory or the consequences of denial, you have plenty of company. This aspect can be the culprit of ill deeds or the barer of magic tricks that can transcend beyond apparent human powers. The laws of nature are seemingly otherworldly. Expect lessons beyond the standard classroom experience to lift your awareness to the great universal director who is your single most reliable ally. This is the time of your life to locate your inner teacher for sacred direction. By pausing long enough to ride the wave into a journey of spiritual awareness, you may experience bursts of clarity, support in the form of miracles and a great escape from surrounding pain and chaos of personal and global events. Again at -15° 47' south declination the alignment includes Jupiter Neptune and Pluto, all contra parallel Saturn.
Saturn is the heavy foot of karma that calls for payment of past debts. Saturn's presence is joined by a Sun-Pluto square which is an aspect of force that places demands to press those in power. Power struggles run rampant and the top dog commands his post as the ruler just because he can. It's a "just watch me" period unconcerned of popular opinion and interested only in a singular mission that will challenge us all. Combining these influences with something as great as a solar eclipse of the strongest type at the zodiacal degree tagged as the world axis, we remain tuned in for the full show. Keep in mind this is only the seed that continues to sprout under the surface. In six months this point is triggered once more with a solar eclipse at the opposite point. Beyond that note this eclipse has an entire set of Moon phases that set the eclipse off again and again. It's called a Moon family which connects all four phases with a nine month intervals. The intervals are called the Lunar Gestation Cycle that births the growing momentum of this eclipse at its First Quarter Moon on June 22, 2007 at 0° Libra. Once you realize the current events are a piece in a puzzle you can project along with the time-line set by the Lunar Gestation Cycle that will continue to develop with a Full Moon 18-months from this week's solar eclipse on March 21, 2008. The cycle is completed at a Last Quarter Moon phase on December 18, 2008. To reflect on the last eclipse at this degree use the longer 19-year Metonic cycle when a solar eclipse occurred at the same zodiacal position on September 22, 1987. The next eclipse on this date and zodiacal position is on September 22, 2025.

Take a break from the chaos and visit
    Peace Village.

    New Weekly Feature
For ease of reading the details of each day, when available or appropriate, follow the daily summary.

A Day Rating is not intended to describe the feeling of the day or how you will experience that day but offers clues about the end results to your activities if you chose to take a specific action during that Moon sign period.

A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign.

    There some very important exceptions:
  • When a planet changes signs, the day rating can change.
  • When a planet changes direction, the day rating can change.

  •
These instances are referred to as a refranation, indicating that you are to expect someone to leave before you complete your objectives or the situation totally changes due to new and unseen developments or reversals.

    General Notes On Cancer MoonsCancer
Positive Results for Efforts (however power struggles follow.). The Moon in Cancer makes a good final aspect to the Virgo Sun but in the next four minutes the Moon will then apply a 150° aspect to Pluto. This lays the ground for a land dispute of sorts that emerges after everyone agrees to the agenda. Perhaps both sides are anxious to move on with their own agenda and present in cooperation but you are dealing with very strong personalities with heavy agendas. This is backed up with the severe challenges from the director (Sun) and the banker or property owner (Pluto). The two primary powers may survive the situation but the supporting friendship is at risk of total loss. An important spiritual development allows the players to become aware of their role and the temptation is to relapse into old unproductive behaviors. The trick is to allow this awareness to be converted to a resource for growth of mind and spirit which will lead to greater inner peace, creative blossoming and a opening for perspective and elevated understanding. The challenge from the 90° Sun and Pluto aspect forces issues to a crisis point that leads to the spiritual resolve.
A vision for something greater sets a friendship at risk. Announcements of appointees and adjustments in territory are made leaving key players out of the loop. The new system poses a bed for greater power struggles. Most are purely political. Those thinking they had an "in" are be disappointed when they learn the boss had a brother-in-law in mind for the job all along. Retailers weigh sales as losses based on the high cost of overhead.

Positive Results For Efforts. The new task manager is in the dark and faces a truckload designated for damage control. Engage with a strong sense of mission on this take charge day allowing room for updates down the road. The temptation is overkill as when the big guns are called in to settle a small claims dispute. A surprise twist brings out the truth that the little guy was right all along. Eventually a reasonable compromise emerges with the help of a seasoned veteran.
