  • This is the week to let go of the older themes that have held our attention over the past six months and welcome in a fresh set of stories for the next six months beginning with Sunday's New Moon. Our personal and public dramas shift to the pull of the powerful influences of the future solar eclipse that will occur at 29° 19' Virgo on September 22nd. It is the square (90°) from the transiting Sun that triggers the eclipse degree. This past week's change of the nodes of the Moon over the zero Aries/Libra axis, that added to the activation of the up-and-coming eclipse and contributed to a very dynamic summer solstice chart last Wednesday. This week's New Moon just followed the summer solstice and the fall season will begin within hours of the solar eclipse. These points all trigger what is known as the zodiac's world axis, otherwise know as the cardinal axis - all meaning that the collective attention is pulled into a world view, a big event, a global news-worthy story. The last time we experienced an eclipse in this position was in the fall of 1987. At that time the stock market crashed and the housing market took a tumble after housing cost reached a then all-time high. The current events share similarities, with high housing costs and high oil prices creating an overall higher cost of living.
Since last week's summer solstice, the players began to move into position for a new cycle for family, home and country. The New Moon chart holds several important astrological configurations that will develop over the week to come. Monday's Sun and Neptune sesqui-square (135°) brings a desire for the unrealistic and potential for backsplash of illusion and denial as to the responsibility of poor choices. This aspect casts a blurred haze over the real action that begins on Tuesday. Then we can expect more from the unexpected and quirky tricks from retrograde Uranus when Mars adds a hot trigger to the sudden and abrupt chain of events associated with Uranus' erratic nature. Speed demons increase haphazard conditions on the road and unchecked blood pressure soars out of control.

This is one of those quincunx (150°)'s that usually accompanies a mess to be cleaned up or a batch of health issues. Some sort of adjustment must be made when unrelated avenues clash. The rebels and truth seekers emerge as the light after the New Moon begins to form, mid-week. One very important aspect occurs on Thursday between Saturn and Pluto. This slow-applying aspect occurred twice in the past year (9/9/05 and 1/1/06) and is triggered weeks before becoming exact on 6/29/06. It brings about a deep need for change based on conditions surrounding the current dilemma, often with intensely distressing or pressured circumstances. You may be aware of structural change and replacements required to rejuvenate and release the outworn. Expect overhaul or major restoration to be implemented for the body and soul; especially the heart. Infrastructures are in need of repair such as the major pipelines for water and fuel as well as roads and bridges. Something significant must be changed in the executive wings as the outworn is discarded as a result of pressure. This aspect breaks down typical evasive methods for dealing with problems as the inevitable awaits past debts and karma. Financial matters this week must be handled with extreme care as they can linger for several years. If a major purchase or contract is needed, it's best to wait until after this aspect is completed. Much can be gained by taking action on Friday, which is one of the better days of the year with the Sun trine (120°) Jupiter. This is Jupiter's cue to that its retrograde trek is nearing an end as it will turn direct on July 6th.

    Moon Signs & Daily Summaries
    Please read my
article on Refranations as they are an important astrological event marker.

A Day Rating may not describe the feeling or your experience of that day but give details about the end result of your actions taken under that Moon sign period. A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign.

    There some very important exceptions:
  • When a planet changes signs, the day rating can change.
  • When a planet changes direction, the day rating can change.

  •
These instances are referred to as a refranation, indicating that you are to expect someone to leave before you complete your objectives or the situation totally changes due to new and unseen developments or reversals.

    General Notes On Gemini MoonsGemini
Gemini Moon. Venus in Gemini is parallel Saturn in Leo 6:42 a.m. influences the entire day with the bonds that bring long-term support for relationships. People come together in a quiet and stable manner to support those who wish to join even when conditions are unclear. At this time we are in the dark of the Moon and there is a lack of light on the subjects at hand. Old behaviors and friends from the past revisit. Some of the visits come from people asking for you to pay past debts of all types. Many return to what worked in the past for insights and reasonable explanations. It may be an emotional day that you feel you are spinning the story with no resolve. Join an older friend or comfortable parent relationship for support. Try a financial solution with an older family member. People pool resources, sell old treasures at yard sales. There is a chance for a good buy from someone in a tight spot.

    General Notes On Cancer MoonsCancer
A Good Day with Hesitation-You're in the Dark. Gemini Moon void of course changes to Cancer at 4:48 a.m. (3°58' Cancer) New Moon is at 12:05 p.m. The New Moon is coupled with many freedom aspects, some involving couples. There is a silver lining to this New Moon as the closest aspects involve both the benefactor, Jupiter and wild initiator form Uranus. Even with all the available information, it is difficult to choose wisely today, as a drive to bond becomes strong, more will be revealed later and some illusions complicate matters with Monday morning's Sun - Neptune aspect.

    General Notes On Cancer MoonsCancer
Good Day with Caution. Cancer Moon. The Sun in Cancer sesqui-square (135°) Neptune in Aquarius 1:47 a.m. is mostly separating and influenced yesterday's activities. A marriage of a sort is formed with Saturn conjunct Juno (2:17 p.m.) when the old partner feels they got out just in time. The new partner is better equipped to handle a cooler personality. Partnerships formed today may last a very long time, for good or ill. In the end you may elect to announce the birth of a new venture. Maybe it's a baby!

Some Bizarre news may as well. Invent something but keep it quiet. Mercury is moving slowly to turn retrograde next week. You wouldn't want to eat your words. Send nice messages out to people. eneral Notes On Virgo MoonsVirgo
A Good Day for Carefully Selected Activities after 12:15 a.m. Leo Moon v/c changing to Virgo at 12:15 a.m. Some heavy topics over the next couple of days with the Moon's last aspect square (90°) Pluto and the Sun in Cancer is quincunx (150°) Chiron, the wounded healer. Something from the past needs to be cleared up and amends are needed. Sun in Cancer trine (120°) Jupiter in Scorpio at 7:22 p.m. An opportunity to make an old wrong right and seize the moment. A lofty and carefree desire to take off and have a good time sets the tone for a holiday weekend. If you can stay in the moment, it's a good party night. A geographical cure for your problems may not be the end all solution but could help to shine a different light on how you process your troubles. Someone with a lot of experience could be available. Virgo Moons must have good food.

The Cancer Moon is a nesting time and the desire to retreat and protect one's vulnerable underbelly is greater. This is a time to nurture and find a way to nurture yourself. People stick to their clans and cliques being less likely to socialize with outsiders and seem to be comfortable with close family members. Matters of saving and providing for necessities are concerns. Food preparation and shared meals are more important. Matters of cash as related to security, real estate and patriotism are Cancer matters. Issues involving dependency or defensiveness are likely to arise with the Moon here. At times if negative aspects occur there can be an abundance of arrogance with a stubborn streak. These couple of days work best if your express your love and appreciation for those around you and remembering to offer praise. Your generosity can be contagious as enthusiasm inspires an air of good will. It is a time when your actions are closely scrutinized as if on stage. Making every effort to be well informed and prepared in all-around activities even if today is not show time, as the Leo energy may not be forgiving of faux pas. This is a good time for having interaction with children or investing time in your creative projects or anything you might consider your "baby". The children in your life are a source of joy but may need your undivided attention. Maintain a balance for love given and received. If you love it, then show it.
