  • Uranus encourages us to break out of old molds and start something new. A strong independence streak bucks the system and seeks the truth with the erratic planet at its retrograde station point scheduled for Monday at 3:40 a.m.. but is kicked off on Saturday, June 17 by an occultation between the Moon and Uranus (a mini-eclipse of the Moon - Earth and Uranus in this case) at 12:58 p.m., planting the seed for an awakening. The annual retrograde station of Uranus is special this year because it is coupled with so many important astrological events. Uranus rules sudden abrupt change and extremes in all matters when the unexpected is order of the day. Expect reversals, shifts and changes that call out to broad audiences because of the activation of the zero cardinal points by two other major events. For one the summer solstice ignites a series of events because it is exactly square (90°) to the Nodes of the Moon that are passing over the 0° Aries point. With Uranus’ energy so prevalent there is an element of shockwaves and surprises running through all facets of life, as with Bill Gates’ announcement of a change in his priorities that are set to take place in 2008, falling under this type of influence. For the individual you may find you are busier than ever trying to keep all the fires under the right pots and contain all others in a manageable way. It may be easier to herd cats than tie everything down. Reversals in general are a theme. The flip-flop situations can act however in your favor. So be ready to act upon the cues to try again where you have failed before, even if the answer then was a definite “no.” Expectations run high as many callers describe a feeling that something is going to happen. Of course something always does happen but at this time it’s similar to a jack-in-the box period. We can assume matters will be serious as this is defined by a new two year cycle between Mars (dharma) and Saturn (karma) on Sunday, affirming the importance of surrounding events. Commitments behind our actions’ consequences are the theme.

Mars’ Dominant activity conjunct Saturn brings greater commitment to a new line of action after Mars squarea (90°) Jupiter, bringing a shift in perspective with sites on new goals. If it is obvious you are ready to be released from the out-worn obligations set back in May of 2000 (at the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction) consider your choices with wise counsel. Now at the square (90°) between Jupiter and Saturn on June 22, you need to let go of the old situations you adopted in the past as your job, and make new choices based on your evolving lifestyle.

Another area where you feel you may have moved on is in the social sector of your life involving your circles of friends and shared activities. A need for more patience with people changing their mind and not going in the direction they said can be true for you as well. Resist passing judgments as we are equally under these influences. Salvage only what will nourish the future and move onto new avenues. Workers have major decisions to make. All that can be said has been said. Action is the name of the game this week. Executives are best acknowledging the workers need for change as strikes and walkouts force the issues. The economic picture is swinging on the threshold of shift that repeats on a 19-year cycle when the nodes of the Moon cross 0° Aries. The last time the Node crossed this point was the fall 1987, spring 1968, summer 1950, December 1931. In all but 1950 the stock market began a dive when the node crossed 0° Aries. In 1950 the event marked the low point in the market. The market is usually affected by the Sun crossing the solstice points.

    Moon Signs & Daily Summaries
    Please read my
article on Refranations as they are an important astrological event marker.

A Day Rating may not describe the feeling or your experience of that day but give details about the end result of your actions taken under that Moon sign period. A Moon sign period begins when the Moon enters a new sign and remains in effect until it leaves that sign. A Difficult Day can bring unwanted complications for the end result of your objectives. By choosing a Good Day and before the void of course Moon period, you increase you chances for a smoother and more favorable outcome. The day is rated by the last aspect from the Moon to a planet before it leaves the sign. That last aspect begins the void of course Moon period. Your activities are considered to be under the umbrella of the Moon sign that changes every couple of days. Days with the same Moon sign often carry the same day rating for the couple days the Moon occupies that sign.

    There some very important exceptions:
  • When a planet changes signs, the day rating can change.
  • When a planet changes direction, the day rating can change.

  •
These instances are referred to as a refranation, indicating that you are to expect someone to leave before you complete your objectives or the situation totally changes due to new and unseen developments or reversals.

    General Notes On Pisces MoonsPisces
Tricky & Difficult. The Pisces Moon (today and tomorrow) is pressing for action with matters from the past that need to be sorted out before moving forward. There are so many changes to address. You may run into old friends and lovers over this weekend. The Moon Uranus occultation brings important time with or associates and an opportunity to catch up with the past and settle differences. Spontaneity is the mood for this weekend. Keep your plans open for interesting events to develop. Any firm decisions are subject to changes or reversals. The temptation is to commit to something of great importance with the influence of tomorrow's Mars/Saturn/Vesta conjunction in Leo. Keep researching until the Moon changes to Aries tomorrow afternoon.

    General Notes On Aries MoonsAries
Tricky & Difficult. The Pisces Moon is void of course beginning at 10:08 a.m., ending when it enters Aries at 2:54 p.m. At 2:03 a.m. the Mars, Saturn and Vesta conjunction in Leo sest the tone for serious plans that have the unique and interesting twists influenced by the Uranus reverse of direction on Monday. The need to invest in housing or to create a safe place is an objective. Vesta brings an attraction to domed-shaped buildings, arched doorways and windows. This configuration brings a personal experience for the US president with this aspect directly on his Leo Ascendant. Attention is brought to his security systems or secret service team. The Sun and Ceres form a trine (120°) at 3:12 a.m., allowing an easier route to communicating with children as friends. The afternoon atmosphere heats up with the Aries Moon conjunct its high profile north node. Emotional outburst or feelings of excitement accompany the afternoon. Wrestling and roughhousing can lead to an injury with Mars opposed Chiron at 3:36 p.m. Happy Father's Day!

    General Notes On Aries MoonsAries
A Very Tricky Day. AnAries Moon. Uranus turns retrograde at 3:41 a.m. Open e-mail carefully today as the unpredictability of this day may include computer glitches or virus threats. Technology wizards have a field day with these aspects supporting brilliant ideas. On the positive side there may be a boost to your dreams as things spontaneously pop into place. Initiating new plans during this time such as accepting a new job may have a temporary element that brings you to a new decision by November, 2007 when Uranus passes this way again. If your plans have a timeframe that fits into Uranus' schedule then you are on the right track. Venus quincunx (150°) Pluto at 10:07 p.m. brings in a sexually intense element or tiff about money. Overeating taxes the system and could disturb your rest.

General Notes On Aries MoonsAries ... changing to
    General Notes On Taurus MoonsTaurus
A Tricky Aries Moon changing to Taurus at 6:23 p.m. A slow-moving opposition between Saturn and Chiron points to stubborn problems that have allowed authorities to squash on any resistance as they continue to add to the rules. Rights are the issue. This aspect has been in effect since August, 2004 and is finalized today. This may allow for some leverage for opposing forces to develop. The creative principals may also begin to flourish with this aspect behind us. It also represents the obvious source of old wounds around father issues and self-esteem. An appropriate psychological shift is one meaning of the 3:21 p.m. Mars sesqui-square (135°) from Pluto as it also reveals hidden problems within leadership and those controlling funds. Integrity is an issue not only the virtuous nature but structural integrity of the body and property. There are too many ghosts around today to do anything but process by letting go of the old stuff before entering into anything new.

    General Notes On Taurus MoonsTaurus
The Taurus Moon welcomes in the Summer Solstice as the Sun enters 0° Cancer at 8:26 a.m. and is one of the most active Solstice events in years. The stories we have been attached to over the past six months are left behind for the new developments of the future solar eclipse on September 22, 2006 that are activated by this special solar position today. The Sun's position forms a square (90°) to the nodes of the Moon hovering over the 0° Aries point, and all this adds up to a major newsworthy event.

General Notes On Taurus MoonsTaurus ... changing to
    General Notes On Gemini MoonsGemini
A Good Day until 8:44 p.m. The Moon in Taurus is very good for assessing your older financial commitments and saving money. The traditional route may be difficult to follow but may be the best direction today. The financial reports should be flying off the wires, until the Moon enters Gemini at 10:49 p.m. The node of the Moon changes today to the sign of Pisces at 5:02 a.m. This may mark an expected shift in the economic picture. Many investors are nervously ditching risky stocks. Jupiter and Saturn square (90°) today indicate a need to make necessary changes, drop outworn commitments and make room for the new ones you are ready to set into place. This is a dark Moon period which is not a good time to make appointments or decisions. The New Moon on June 25 will bring new activity. The Moon enters Gemini at 10:49 p.m.

Magenta, the color of Friday  Friday, June 23, 2006
    eneral Notes On Gemini MoonsGemini
A Tricky Day until 8:31 p.m., then no longer so. The Moon in Gemini improves to some degree but we are still in the dark with changes in financial matters. Someone who promises money may be out of cash themselves before they can help anyone else. It's a communication day. Connect without expectations. Honor your hunches and resist over-booking your calendar.

     Aspects for the Week

MARS CONJUNCT SATURN - Exact Jun 18 2006
Brief description: The between Mars and Saturn conjunction is the beginning of a key cycle that affects how we function within a structure and what drive us to commit to our objectives. This conjunction marks a new cycle between Mars, the planet of action and drive and Saturn, the planet of structure and limits that traditionally places the focus on the availability of jobs, business acquisitions and executive reorganizations that affect workers and constituents. The commitment instilled at this time runs deep into our hearts with a need for people to recognize the importance of their alliances in all relationships from the personal to global. What is begun now will show key developments or change at the quarter angles and the opposition on the next three dates; the first Mars – Saturn square (90°) November 28, 2006, Opposition (180°) March 22, 2007 and the last square (90°) December 15, 2008. There is a basic need for executive decisions that bring safe limits and solid direction.
This aspect can be preceded by a period of hard work and many report frustration during this influence. It brings both increased drive with endurance and exhaustion. Often it is very tough during competition and sporting events, producing the best of the athletic world with all efforts evaluated or scrutinized by the most critical of judges. This could bring reward for your efforts or bring disappointment to your record. Now and at each of the related three dates it is time to pay debts and deal directly with any consequences accrued over the past two years to clean the slate. On a political level, you can expect organized resistance. Strikes and layoffs are high on the list for this aspect. You may be attempting to break down walls or perhaps begin building new ones. Saturn in Leo brings activity to executive offices and Mars "heats up" the current conditions.
The last time Mars and Saturn formed a conjunction in Leo was June 1978.
For personal use: Take advantage of the increased focus and practicality available at this time.
For business use: Expect progress along with some valuable down time.

MOON GOES VOID OF COURSE AFTER SQUARE SUN - Jun 18 2006

    MOON ENTERS ARIES - Jun 18 2006
The Aries Moon has a higher energy level and can be aggressive and self-focused. There us a strong need for action and problem solving. During this time you may seek independence and be short tempered, confrontational and challenging. There can be a single minded mission or the potential to start something from scratch. The daily tones are noisier and less tolerant then other Moon signs. There might be an absence of social grace or pleasantries but not lacking in charm. This is an emotionally demanding period and can be filled with a need for sexual release. Assertiveness is seen everywhere and some people or other critters just will not take no for an answer. On the positive note you may begin projects you have held off. On the other side of that you may not finish them either. Plant onions. Good time to weed the garden and kill insects.

MARS SQUARE JUPITER - Exact Jun 19 2006
Brief description: Pushing forward. Fiery and creative attitudes. Actions based on perceived ethics, philosophy and religious views. There is an attitude of prejudice with an aggressive spirit. Political and spiritual restlessness. To be driven to speed up recovery. Body building. Confidence and excitement to succeed with a competitive spirit. There is the tendency to over-look or under estimate problems when motivated by a goal. Some actions attract legal issues or other obstacles with logistics. Motivate to publish or advertise. Risky behavior.
For personal use: Take on a big project but pace yourself.
For business use: Beware of over extending when advertising.

    URANUS STATIONARY - Jun 19 2006

VENUS QUINCUNX PLUTO - Exact Jun 19 2006
Brief description: Insurance adjustments. Unrelated or unexpected events involving personal resources and money or security for others such as co-signing a loan. Personal relationships are stressful. Sexual demands or indicating an issue with sexual undercurrent between workers. There is a need for behavioral adjustments with spending and the ability to earn.
For personal use: Ask for help with unfamiliar matters. Someone has been there before.
For business use: There could be an issue with a worker.

MARS SESQUISQUARE PLUTO - Exact Jun 20 2006
Brief description: This is a milder steamroller aspect than the square but remains difficult. There is a sense that those in power are willing to mow others down for their own selfish needs. Paranoia runs high but is difficult to discriminate between reality and tricks of the mind. Annoying symbols of greed and misuse of others finances. There is the fear of being "raked over hot coals". Strong sexual urges. Annoying obsessive behaviors may be experienced. Surgery. Strategic planning that fails to perform at peak. Speeding tickets. Overdrawn bank accounts. Minor surgery. Irritable bowl syndrome. Deep nervous tension that is hard to sort through. Good day to process anger in your therapist's office. Powerful drives.
For personal use: Take a methodical approach. Allow others to speak their piece
For business use: Deal with insurance matters.

MOON GOES VOID OF COURSE AFTER SEXTILE SUN - Jun 20 2006

    MOON ENTERS TAURUS - Jun 20 2006
The Moon in Taurus is in its exaltation which normally indicates that there is a graciousness and honor of some sort. When the Moon is in Taurus, there tends to be a focus on finances, and often money comes through on these days. This is the Moon of tradition, concerned with matters of the family and gatherings. It is usually “food first” for Taurus Moons. Bonding is more apparent with loved ones. There is a need to get more grounded and find some peace and quiet. You may be carting about people or supplies. (Before automated vehicles, the bull pulled carts of supplies and people.) Taurus Moons can be lazier and more indulgent than usual. This can be a slow-moving couple of days with no rushing and lower blood pressure. The bull is more sensitive than they appear being also stubborn and not easily pulled off track. If there is a sense of being pressured this could incite rage especially if plans change without consulting the bull and then securing his/her approval. Don’t push, suggest. Find a way to make your pitch, sale or emotional plea politically palatable, practical and profitable to please and capture your benefactors’ attention. Remain sensitive and patient while watching the object of your attention become interested in your product. Making a pitch or sale with the Moon in Taurus can be tedious but you are often speaking to someone who has the means to fund your project or buy your products. If your can remember they don’t want to be pushed, they want to be seduced you will have much better luck. If you seem to be interested only in money you will loose their respect. When the Moon is in Taurus people like to buy things that are sensual to the touch. Fabrics need to be comfortable and relaxed but of high quality. Flannels, cottons and very soft wools are sought. Lots of food items, cooking and indoor/outdoor gardening are high on the activity list. This is a time to be nurtured and be nurturing. If the Taurus Moon occurs on an otherwise good day your powers of manipulation are strong. Your ability to move to the head of the line or the top of the list is greater today. Apply for a loan or mortgage. It is an excellent time for planting flowers and beautiful bushes.

    SUN ENTERS CANCER - Jun 21 2006
This is the moment of the summer solstice which marks the beginning of summer and the longest day of the year. Solstice is from the Latin
sol = sun and sistit =stand. It is named for the apparent phenomena when the Sun stands still, showing no change in elevation for several days before and after the solstice. From now until July 23rd the Sun is in the sign of Cancer. The astrological chart of this moment each year holds a special significance as a powerful cardinal quarter of any year. This is the time when family, security and home are major priorities. How these areas in our lives are affected is partly measured by the surrounding aspects at the moment of the solstice. The relationship to the other planets offers clues to the most likely activity for the next three months.

MERCURY QUINCUNX PLUTO - Exact Jun 21 2006
Brief description: Becoming aware of mismatched agreements and bad contracts. Disagreements that lead to investigations will uncover deeper issues. This could be a time of psychological torment. Household pests are out of control.
For personal use: Find the instructions. Read the instructions. Follow the instructions. Then use prayer as the quickest route to emotional and mental relief. Consider disagreements as an opening for a much needed opportunity to talk things through.
For business use: Use reserves sparingly. You may need to engineer your way out of a jam. Read agreements very carefully so as the power is balanced for your needs.

MARS PARALLEL SATURN - Exact Jun 21 2006
Brief description: Commitment. A time to join forces with seasoned business associates. Positive structural plans and progress with business are encouraged, as well as personal relationships that are looking forward to a future together.
For personal use: Use this time to address your commitment in your personal relationships.
For business use: Keep the ball rolling in your business as you take on new clients and continue to build a strong foundation.
Extra note: This aspect's range of effect began June 9 through June 19, 2004.

JUPITER SQUARE SATURN - Exact Jun 22 2006
Brief description: This is a slow-building aspect that matures over time. The surrounding situations currently are calling for change. Your efforts are best wrapped in patience as this is a slow process. You may find the tensions that arise during attempts to escape previous obligations. These may have involved responsibilities that began in the year 2000 and now demand progress. It is now that you are presented with an opportunity to break out of an old mold, albeit a difficult feat. Seek advice from seasoned professionals and persist with matters involving money, estates, creative projects and children. Children experiencing setbacks soon benefit by professional guidance. Take action on their behalf to facilitate progress. Restructure, reorganize and redesign areas that have potential for growth in the future. This aspect is about the future and how you handle you affairs now will be evaluated later. You can expect to reap the rewards of your efforts by March 2007.
For personal use: Place your goals on the table. Fight for what you really want. If you need braces get them now.
For business use: Take an honest inventory and cut out anything that is dragging you down.

Extra note: This is the second of three Jupiter Saturn squares. The first occurred on December 17, 2005. The final on October 25, 2006. All three occur with Jupiter in Scorpio and Saturn in Leo.

MOON GOES VOID OF COURSE AFTER CONJUNCTING VENUS - Jun 22 2006

    MOON ENTERS GEMINI - Jun 22 2006
The Gemini Moon: The next couple of days when the Moon travels through Gemini, people tend to be more curious, talkative and restless. There is more mental activity during this time. There is a lot of moving about and scouting around town for errands, short trips and visits. It is a good time to gather information although you need to check your sources for errors and material based on hearsay as talk is abundant but not all always reliable. Topics regarding siblings can be an issue or their may be visits between them. Children are more vocal. It is time to write note and the desire for writing your thoughts down is strong. It is a good time to connect by making calls, answering letters and the like to catch up with communication needs. People may lack sensitivity and just say what ever is on their minds when the Moon is in Gemini. As long as you keep things light and lively everyone should have a good time. If you are particularly thin skinned then you may select your company more carefully. There is a need for variety. To make the best of the Moon in Gemini you might want to spend more time listening to learn more than you expected. Good time to weed your garden and plant nothing.

VENUS PARALLEL MARS - Exact Jun 23 2006
Brief description: Men and women socialize. There is the ability to connect in a social setting. People in general are more sociable. There is also the presence of both opportunity and desire for romance and sex. A love thing. One can be motivated to shop. A flow of money; motivation toward acquisition. Opposites attract. Opposites are brought together for a singular purpose. Partnering. Close bonding and involvement with those attracted to one another for friendship, business or romance. Good match for love and money matters.
For personal use: Take someone along to find what you are looking for or go to a party.
For business use: If all other aspects are favorable this could bring about a good partnership. This may be a profitable money day.

    VENUS ENTERS GEMINI - Jun 23 2006
Brief description: Venus is the planet of love, money, art and peacemaking. Venus in Gemini enjoys intellectual stimulation and variety in all relationships but is particularly flirtatious and fickle sign for Venus. This is the time to develop your communication skills specifically for the purpose of enhancing your personal relationships. Venus in Gemini can become burdened with too many choices. Conversation may become more pleasant, but more superficial during this time and sweet talk is developed to an art form with Venus in Gemini. There could be a multitude of money making ideas and plenty of partners to choose from. Shoppers may be buying for children or siblings. Venus in Gemini colors are light and airy pastels. Trips are planned for pleasure or entertainment.
For personal use: Enhance the communication aspect of your relationships as an expression of your love.
For business use: Marketing and shopping is up but the customer may have difficulty making up their mind.

VENUS PARALLEL SATURN - Exact Jun 24 2006
Brief description: A need to form formal bonds for the purpose of stability, public approval and perhaps status is a motivation. To align with well-positioned appropriate parties. Partners join with vast age or status differences. Material and economic stabilizers. People are judging others on how they present. Feelings may run cold. To be emotionally grounded or may experience some depression. The emphasis is to create long enduring bonds; to decorate and restructure immediate environment with attention to well-prepared workspaces. Strong structures and architectural design are emphasized.
For personal use: Long-term marriage aspect. Dress conservatively. Consider nurturing solid connections in your personal life.
